July 14, 2013 7:34 pm I thought the animation was mixed. The action scenes looked great, but the background scenery shots (particularly Wayne Manor in the beginning) looked spartan and incomplete. Alfred was okay, but it was as jarring for me as hearing Wolverine with an Aussie accent in the original X-Men cartoon pilot.
June 20, 2013 12:39 pm I'm all for this one as I think they're adapting one of the best books of the past 5 years, but I think this would play out much better as an HBO or FX series. It's really a family drama at its heart, and I'd worry that a push to cut it down into 1 to 3 movies will sacrifice a bit too many of the smaller moments.
June 17, 2013 1:08 pm Better than the wiki entry, how about they link to comics that feature the looter, including his first appearance, and any notable appearances he made since then? The wiki entries can get pretty....crazy...when you try to read them. However, using this feature to push people towards more books?
June 16, 2013 10:58 am I definitely feel its time for a movie version of Brainiac
June 16, 2013 10:45 am I agree with this. I like this version because it suited the world being presented to us. Not the antiseptic version of All Star Superman, for instance, or the comedy, slapstick version of The 70's / 80's movies. I could've done without the Jesus allegories, but it seems to be part and parcel of the character.
June 16, 2013 10:42 am Certainly in the comments, and no, not just your comments.
June 16, 2013 9:00 am There's too much rending of garments over this scene.
June 16, 2013 1:38 am If only he had crushed his hand and thrown him into a bottomless pit instead for the family-friendly death scene instead!
June 14, 2013 11:50 pm I'm pretty sure that this has not even come close to the definition of vitriol. Disagreement, sure! "Are you kidding?"...yeah. But this isn't vitriol, by a long shot.
June 14, 2013 11:27 pm And based on that, Paul, it's what I was wanted out of a Superman movie for once. Sorry it didn't meet what you were hoping for. I had a blast, and I'm hoping for more.
