A good Robocop comic 23 years after the original film?  I’ll buy that for a dollar. I mean no offense…

Although I wasn’t hooked by the preview and was not familiar with any of the creative team’s previous work, I…

September 29, 2011 7:11 pm Agreed! It actually got an audible "holy shit" out of me.
September 29, 2011 2:46 pm Enjoyed this quite a bit, but I agreed with an earlier comment that some of dialogue was a bit rough. Great art and some creepy imagery too!
September 29, 2011 2:40 pm I didn't pick up Schism, and I'm on the fence about Wolverine and the X-Men (I'm just not an X-book kinda guy), but I am pretty much in agreement with you.
    September 23, 2011 10:53 am You're missing out on a great book. Can't get into Stokoe's art?
September 22, 2011 9:09 am If only I'd been slower on checking this book out... by the time the omnivore edition was out I already had the first two trades and didnt' want to double-dip.
September 22, 2011 8:54 am Yeah, when I flipped the the page revealing the crime scene, I actually said "Jesus..." out loud. Definitely a sign of a good book.
September 22, 2011 8:52 am Here's what's on the DC website: http://dccomics.com/dcu/graphic_novels/?gn=20113 Seems kind of silly to only collect up to 877. The entire run went up to 880/881, didn't it?
September 20, 2011 4:09 pm Not that I'm gonna buy it, but I am happy to see Kenneth Rocafort's name show up in the new 52. His art is great!
September 20, 2011 11:57 am The Don't Miss sold me on Near Death. I was interested beforehand simply because of the genre, but hearing that it will probably be comprised mostly of one-and-done stores got me excited. I don't read Criminal monthly, and even if this is less of a noir book, it'll still be nice to get a monthly crime book that's a little more simplistic in its storytelling.
September 20, 2011 9:20 am A friend of mine lent me The Snyder/Jock/Francavilla Detective run and it is fantastic. I wasn't planning to pick this up, but after reading about half of the Detective issues, I knew I'd be a fool to let this slip by. Haven't seen anything of Capullo's since Spawn, but I loved his stuff back then. This ought to be great.
