September 16, 2011 4:26 pm I tried to get into the BPRD books, but I found them to be really hard, as a new reader, to get into. I've never attempted to read the early Hellboy stuff, and that's probably where I should start, right?
    September 14, 2011 11:40 pm The CORRECT ratings should be: 2 - Story 4 - Art
September 12, 2011 6:46 pm The Animal Man thing seems more like Lemire's strength since it is Family related. This book is really going to show his ability to write since Frankenstein's recent writer, Grant Morrison (anyone else know of someone I'm missing?), is such a well read and poetic writer. I didn't like the voice of the character Lemire had for Frankenstein in that mini and didn't read issue 2. This is the only DC relaunch I'm trying since I don't want to read new takes on the other characters I already love (I have problems, I know) and I'd rather wait for a trade of Action Comics and Justice League. So I have high hopes. The art is going to be great though, the few preview pages shown for this, seem to be amazing.
August 24, 2011 3:26 pm I've been working on the Aaron personally. And I think Paul has started to hallucinate erotic fanfiction that he writes about his friends.
August 22, 2011 3:42 pm I'm dropping FF, the cast is too big, the art is too inconsistent, and I just don't care about the characters, because I can't tell which ones I should root for, and it isn't bringing the bacon for me like it used to, and hasn't been since the change to the FF title. I'll pick up a few back issues.
August 10, 2011 3:59 pm Really great review.
August 9, 2011 6:10 am It looks like there is a slender arm next to Frost's which looks like Hope's. I think it is safe to say that since Gillen is writing both this and Generation Hope he'd put those characters on the team.
August 8, 2011 3:03 pm I'm dropping Fantastic Four. Which is sad for me because I thought it would be my book, the book I collected through thick and thin. I just can't behind a lot of the artists recently and it has lost a kind of cohesion from when it was Fantastic Four.
August 7, 2011 8:55 am This review was really entertaining. You definitely captured the feel of your points, nice job.
August 3, 2011 7:41 pm They look like that initiative DC did a while ago with the white covers + single image + logos.
