    Justice League #1

    This wasn’t bad. Not great, but not bad. Sorry, but I wanted more. After waiting a few months for the…

    This was a Clifford-sized steaming pile of dog excrement. I wouldn’t normally write a review on a given issue, but…

    March 20, 2012 9:39 pm I did not expect to tear up reading the preview comments to JL7, but this did it. God bless your son, and God Bless America.
    August 31, 2011 11:12 pm 1,322 pulls and still counting. That's pretty impressive. To an established comics fan, was it a good read? Sure, it wasn't bad. Nothing that blew me away, but not bad. But I think a lot of people are missing the point on this. DC rebooted to lure in new readers -- to replace those of us who will die soon. (Sorry, but it's almost true.) What I want to know is: What do brand new readers think of JL1? And will they buy #2? Because if they don't buy #2, what was the point of freaking wiping everything away? And just for the record, if Marvel decided to wipe 50 years of history away in just one month, wouldn't there be a massive Marvel zombie uprising? I'm not criticizing DC's move (well, Supes needs some red trunks -- just sayin') -- I'm just curious if the gambit will attract an 8-year-old, or an 18-year-old,, or a 28-year-old.....

    @Diabhol, neither do I.

    @robbydzwonar, I didn't understand a word of RIP...so this really killed me..giggling like a nut.

    @Lucien21, uh, it IS FUNNY..to me, at least. EXTREMELY FUNNY. MADE MY WEEK FUNNY. I've seen different renditions of this clip on the web, just as you have. And to me, they're all pretty darn entertaining. It's just dumb fun, nothing else. So I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
    June 3, 2011 3:11 am I just watched the damn thing again, and it was twice as funny the second time. "I understood RIP"...really nails it. It's 2:06 in the morning, and I'm laughing like an idiot in my basement over a Hitler comic book routine. Give me "lazy" and "tedious" any day of the week, then.
    June 3, 2011 3:00 am That was the funniest thing I've seen in ages. @Lucien21: You're kidding, right? There's no way you can give such a snotty remark to something so funny. Please, tell me you're kidding. This. Is. Hilarous. Thanks for posting, Josh. Totally made my day.
    March 30, 2011 3:14 am You're probably right. It just seems like I'm being taken for another ride...
    March 29, 2011 1:15 am Cornell, sorry..overrated. He seems to write scripts that only Morrison lovers can understand. Not for me.
    March 29, 2011 1:07 am Uh, so if I paid for the original issues....and got part of the story ... I have to pay six more bucks to get 30 new pages to see how it ends? That, sadly, is a perfect example of why comics sales are dying. DC, you should be ashamed.
    January 28, 2009 10:35 pm Here's my bottom line: Grant Morrison is a talentless hack, and we've been duped again. Sure he hits a homer every once in a great while, BUT SO DID DAVE KINGMAN! I've been reading comics for 40 years, and I know what "good storytelling" is. Final Crisis was not good storytelling. I stuck with this thing for the duration, including buying the Superman 3-D issues. All junk. Morrison laid an egg, pure and simple. He's a hack.

    Norton was superb in this movie, as was most of the rest of the cast. Tyler, I'm sorry, was a little beefy for me. She looks like she needs to lose about 15 pounds. She didn't wear the extra weight well here. Sorry, but babes in U.S. blockbusters can't be anything less than perfect. That's just the law of the jungle. She also tends to overact. That was really the only negative, though.

    As for the Hulk action scenes, the people who complain about watching CGI for the last 20 minutes may want to ask themselves why they went to the movie in the first place. There's no other way to do it. That's why Lou Ferregno plays the security guard, and not 'ol Salad Head.

    One reviewer made a solid point, as well. If Banner wanted to keep his pulse rate low, why did he live in an overcrowded hellhole and work in a greasy, rickety bottling plant just waiting to blow up?

    Quibbling over, I agree with lantern4life above, 4.5 stars out of 5. Iron Man gets a 5.

    Can't wait for Alfred Pennyworth and son next month...
