HAWK AND DOVE #1
September 8, 2011 3:43 pm I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I'm not usually a fan of Liefeld's art but I was okay with it here. Sterling Gates writes well although I would have liked to see the backstory told in a more organic way rather than just a monologue. Still I'll be back next month.

September 7, 2011 5:30 pm Wow. This is a real leap forward for Tony Daniel as a writer. I really wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.

GREEN ARROW #1
September 7, 2011 5:28 pm The biggest disappointment of the dc relaunch so far. The art was ok but the writing is just bad. Such a waisted opportunity.

BATGIRL #1
September 7, 2011 5:25 pm Really impressive. No one writes Barbara Gordon better than Gail Simone. A great first issue, feels like it could be the start of something pretty special.

September 7, 2011 5:21 pm So glad to see that this and swamp thing are turning out to be proper horror comics. Genuinley creepy. Wasn't sure about the art at first but it really grew on me. Great stuff.

What’s The Best Comic Book Being Published Right Now?
September 8, 2010 10:02 am Batman and Robin. Grant Morrison has intricately plotted this book so it really rewards multiple readings. His characterisation of Damien is excellent and the development of the relationship between him and Dick has been a real high point.
