October 10, 2016 3:43 pm I dont feel like it was this bad in Y: The Last Man or Ex Machina. Sure it had its shock value scenes, but It never felt forced.

October 6, 2016 10:21 am Waited til I read Saga before listening to this podcast. Saga is my favorite book on the market right now. However, I have been feeling that BKV is writing shock value for sake of shock value. Opening the book with Taints and little things like the "Fucking HArdly" line in the part where they ask how all these races are helping each other. It almost feels forced now. Its not that im a prude, its just not adding to the story outside of "How can we go crazy this month and add something that most people would deem offensive". To give an analogy, I am a big hip hop fan, but when a rapper uses too much "Fucks" and "Pussys" I write them off as terrible writers in this craft. I guess I'm getting to, I don't feel like it adds to the overall story. The story isnt better by adding all the crude stuff every issue. Its great on its own merit. Also, I miss Gus, I want an issue where Gus messes up a ton of bad guys.

August 11, 2016 1:29 pm I hated it so much. I also hated the picture in picture. Like they made a satellite just to vidoe the other? GTFO. Thats a small thing, I also hated when Diablo said, " I already lost 1 family, I wont lose another" What? TBIS IS YOUR FAMILY NOW? 1 day of fighting. Weak. This isnt the goonies. They should still hate each other but respect each other. The only thing I disagree with is I liked Leto, im interested in all the deleted scenes that they cut from him.

November 17, 2015 6:26 pm I enjoyed The Goddamned, but it had way too much unnecessary swearing. The reason I say this is when you just put "fuck" in the book for almost no serving purpose, I feel the writer doesn't know what to write. It also takes me out of the book and I say... people don't talk like that. Like when a rap artist fills his music with fuck 10 times, I think to myself, " You have 3 verses in which you have a limited word count....why keep using the same word that has no purpose?" I don't want you to think that I don't think motherfuckers can't swear. Just don't over use it and dumb down the medium. Still can't wait to read issue 2.

I tried to get her into reading something like Y: The Last Man ( which is my favorite book) in hopes to have her understand it as an art form it. Ill email you a picture of my room.!
