June 7, 2012 11:47 am Also the "immortal Iron Fist" run with Brubaker was good and wouldn't be a bad starting point for a more modern Iron Fist. Also the art is good, I think its Aja, not a 100% sure. It shows Danny Rands predecessor(also goes back and shows older Fists), the seven champions of the cities, Orson gives him the book of the Iron Fist. It explains much of the Iron Fist World.
June 1, 2012 1:58 pm It doesn't but its all a media hype. Marvel has a gay marriage, now DC needs a big gay outburst. No one should really care but most comic fans are uptight pains in___. Like you said if the story is good, who is going to care if he's gay. about 00.1% of comic fans, so why does there need to be a big article about it. The fact people are promoting this is saying its weird or different is wrong
May 9, 2012 10:10 am I'm by no means cheap but doesnt $10 for a 64 page book seem a little....much?
March 19, 2012 11:13 am Slott is a terrible writer. I've read every ASM since the low 300's and Slott is one of the worst i've seen on the title. The last ASM story with them in space wasn't readable.
January 31, 2012 10:24 am BQ: Kid Darth Vader volkswagon commercial!
January 27, 2012 10:20 am I'm hoping to see a dramatic fight with wolverine vs beast with huge conflcit in interest on this..... "non event" non event no event event... This is an event isn't it?
November 22, 2011 10:39 am It's very easy to take someone elses work and "improve it" especially in ones opinion. Honestly Johnsons colors looks very poor and it looks nothing like the diner in the story. Futakis cover looks like something from the book while johnsons looks like a nighttime murder shack. Also Johnsons white logo sticks out to much, it looks more like an advertisement then a comic logo. Your eye it completely focused on it and it takes away from the art.
November 10, 2011 10:06 am Ahhh their debut was in showcase #6 now coming back in Dc presents #6. icwhattheydidthere
October 21, 2011 9:42 am @ Alan no you don't need art training to dislike someones art but people aren't saying they dislike it, they're saying its bad. Notice the difference? People are following suit but can't point out why the art is "bad". Disliking is fine, I dislike lots of art styles but i can still admit if they're done well. Don't say its bad, especially if the reason is he traces. Does that make sense? If he traced everyting would be done perfect. Like i said before It can't all be traced, he over uses certain poses but thats lack of creativity, which is why his pages are dull. It'd be impossible to try and draw a full book on tracing.
October 20, 2011 2:36 pm You'd be surprised about how often all artist trace and stealfrom other artist. It's also not directly traced and more copied and used as references. Especially with these re-launches and any re numbering issues. all artist look over people who've previously drew the line and re-used some specific/classic poses. I've seen Land draw in person and he has the talent to draw from nothing but why not use a photo, magazine or whatever? Look at alex ross, everything he does is beautiful but everything is from a photo. I draw and recently started working on a book, theres no way anyone could get by soley tracing and stealing otheres work. I have 20+ long boxes of books, hundreds of trades and still couldnt find eveyrhting i needed if i wanted to.
