Top 5: Deaths of Jonathan Kent
May 22, 2012 11:54 am Yeah, in fairness I don't think I read that issue of All-Star Superman. It probably deserved a mention though since so many of you guys are bringing it up.

Top 5: Deaths of Jonathan Kent
May 22, 2012 11:12 am I won't try to defend Smallville as a series in general, but Jonathan's death on the show was incredibly moving. It marked as much of a turning point in the direction of the series as it did in Clark's life.
I don't think a lot of these others on the list showed Clark dealing with that pain for very long. Smallville dealt with it heavily for the remainder of that season, and to a lesser extent the rest of the series.
To this day, every time I watch that episode I know I'm in for some embarassment/tears.

It's debatable, whether we're viewers. But I think we can agree our platform is respect for women.

DEMON KNIGHTS #8
April 13, 2012 10:40 am At first I was excited to finally get the real story of who Xanadu really likes more. But as I was reading I was lamenting the fact that that mystery would be over. And then the ending put things back into question again. Well done, Mr. Cornell! Possibly my favorite issue of the series thus far.

GRIFTER #8
April 11, 2012 9:35 pm This was a fun issue.
I'm not sure whether it's been explained why he needs to be viewed as a villain by the superheroes of the world. I was hoping for a little more on that.
But there are some interesting plot twists in this issue. I'll definitely be back next issue. I'm not as worried as some about Liefield's hand in upcoming issues. Especially if it's mainly an influence on the plot rather than the art.

DEMON KNIGHTS #8
April 11, 2012 9:09 pm Exactly! I gave it 5 stars. It was nice to finally have things quiet down enough to get some things explained. This will probably be my PotW.

Also, some interesting reveals about the cause of Camelot's fall.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK #7
March 26, 2012 4:46 pm I got nervous when I saw Janin wasn't on this issue. But then I looked ahead and saw he's back for the next sory arch (starting issue 9). *sigh of relief*
That said, I'm totally unfamiliar with Sampere's art so maybe it'll be even better.
