June 15, 2011 10:26 am @cprevite  @Francisco  Sort of in the middle of both your opinions. My take is not necessarily that Lobdell or any of those 90's guys now have new books (I agree that Lobdell had some good X-Men stuff here and there), it's that creators like Brian Wood, Nicola Scott, Fraiser Irving, and many other great names are nowhere to be found.

Maybe there will be a second wave or something, but I have a hard time believeing someone like Brian Wood didn't have a great pitch for some DC property. Seems like more of a regime change overall from editorial than anything.
June 13, 2011 1:24 pm Hey, it's a crossover between The Punisher and Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt from 'Se7en'. Awesome!

June 9, 2011 3:04 pm This is the type of creative team-up I've been looking to see happen in all of the DC Reboot announcements. Can't say, even with this duo doing the book, that I'm any more interested in the concept of Haunt though.
June 8, 2011 10:06 am Good to see Static Shock in the lineup, fits with DC's diversity imperative. Also glad to see Rozum get more chances at a monthly. I would like to see the book he's currently spinning (XOMBI) stick around, but that's a pipe dream in the new DC.

If I don't see Frazier Irving as an artist on any of these new titles, than DC is telling me they've really dropped the ball with their cultivating new talent. He's probably one of the rising star artist in comics right now and he's been doing mostly DC work.
June 8, 2011 9:59 am Don't understand why they didn't just pull the cast from Young Justice into Teen Titans, or just make Young Justice the new status quo in the comics. That show in great and the characters are really original (Miss Martian & Aqualad).
June 8, 2011 9:54 am Yikes. Don't wanna hate, but Hawk & Dove? Liefeld? Really? Must be nice for alot of these old Marvel guys (Lobdell, Nicieza, Liefeld) to have Bob Harras as EIC.

Not sure yet if it's a good thing.
June 6, 2011 2:04 pm @206jordan I can see them maybe becoming side characters in other books if the new DC mandate is to make things simpler for the audience 'outside' of the regular comics fanbase (i.e., us).
June 6, 2011 1:53 pm I'm all for DC finding their own superstars in terms of artist and writers, but these announcements, save for the Wonder Woman/JL teams are leaving me cold.

Lots of reshuffling and no star power.
May 31, 2011 5:25 pm This will only succeed if:

Johns and Lee can actually maintain a monthly schedule (Jim Lee has shown he can't), and if the digital offerings are lower price than the print versions (doubt it).
