October 22, 2010 1:58 pm One of my all time favorite comic books is Soulwind (available in one big B&W softcover volume as The Complete Soulwind) by Scott Morse.  A bunch of different stories that mesh together in unexpected ways.

April 13, 2010 5:54 pm @TheNextChampion - His film record is Serenity.  It was a critical, if not commercial, success.  He's  a good director with at least some knowledge and affection for the material.  They could make a lot worse choices.  Superhero action movies weren't exactly Favreau's established style, either, but talent is talent.
March 19, 2010 4:48 pm I hope they cram these characters into the corner of a panel somewhere in the book, just as a call-back.
March 8, 2010 2:24 pm If I read a comic and immediately think, "Hey, my buddy Joe would really like this," then I might shoot him an e-mail or mention it the next time I see him.  But in generaly, I don't care whether or not other people read comics.
March 5, 2010 7:19 pm @zattaric - If you look at it that way, they still need a magic guy and a cosmic guy.
March 4, 2010 4:45 pm @Conor - Yeah, I could see that.  I still think she'd complain about it.  But, you're right - it does fit thematically with the idea of going back to or reclaiming an age of heroism.
March 4, 2010 4:34 pm @Conor - I think I object more her specifically going back to being Jewel than the idea of a costume.  But, of course, this promotional material could just be to give us an idea of what's going to happen - not exactly what she's going to be wearing/how it plays out.
March 4, 2010 4:26 pm I know that we're kind of past the era of the non-costume costumes, but I really can't see Jessica Jones dressing up in spandex with her history.  It's great if she gets a more prominent role, but I just don't see bringing back the Jewel identity.
