January 19, 2012 10:58 am I think the inkers were afraid to change any of Simonsons lines (and not that I blame them).
January 18, 2012 11:43 pm I agree...fuck this is so good. Read the first issue only because of the Skottie Young cover and that I loved the concept and old Marvel adaptation. Bought every issue since and will get the hardcover (cause I'm sure it'll have another bad ass Skottie Young cover) when it comes out. I wonder if any of the other current series are any good (from marvel or dynamite).
January 5, 2012 12:41 am I think with any other mutant but Wolverine in the title role in this book I would have really loved it, but I just regular really like it. How often does someone control/possess you before you go out and get a magneto helmet.
December 30, 2011 11:19 pm Levitz is sticking with Brande talking with a bad Russian accent, which never fails to makes me laugh.
December 23, 2011 12:59 am Another great issue for me (except the cover once that was pointed out), really can't get enough Legion. So many great characters on the team, really need to hurry up and get the "Legion Lost" crew back in town.
December 23, 2011 12:18 am Buying digital I don't even notice the cover. Looks like they just blew up a panel, they could've at least used an ominous font.
November 10, 2011 6:06 pm Sorry I was actually angry at what I just read and was just trying to not spew negativity but to get my point across that I really didn't like this book and would like it to go away. As to why I didn't like the book, I hated the story. I thought the New Avengers title was setting up a new team and we were going to get new stories. Instead I get Bendis telling the same story he told a few years ago. The Dark Avengers at least made sense in the world of HAMMER taking over for SHIELD and the Avengers in hiding. Everybody knows Osborn is crazy but the smartest people in the world (collectively) in A.I.M. elect to follow him? Gorgon & Hydra (who I thought didn't like each other) would also choose to follow Osborn's lead? Utter nonsense, let alone Kid Hulk who I was coming around to. Every page I read pissed me off a little more. It would be one thing for a new writer on the title and attempt to retell or improve on the story but I found this to be unacceptable. My bad for not taking the "Dark" on the cover seriously, how could I know. True I don't go seek out previews of comics before I purchase, but based on the blurb here on Ifanboy "Witness the new Avengers line-up in action!" I would have thought there would be Avengers in the book, maybe even the West Coast Avengers after the last issue instead I got Dark Reign Revisited.
November 8, 2011 10:37 pm For $2.99 I'll give this a digital try. I like Skottie Young and think he can break the cycle of artist who really shouldn't write.
