April 26, 2012 9:37 am This was a 1 page joke strip extended to issue length. I did think it was pretty okay for what it is, plus probably the best page in comic ever at the end.

April 19, 2012 10:27 am First read through I was kinda annoyed by cyclops and the friends fighting friends without even trying to work it out (supposed to be some of the smartest people on the planet here), specially the Wolverine vs New Mutants panel and Panther and Storm. Second read through I stuck with the absurdity of it and was able to enjoy the crap out of it. The panel of cyclops moving his head so fast shooting laser beams with everybody else in i'm angry and gonna do something (just not yet) pose or Giant Man growing to be just a little bit taller than everyone else. Tons of great posturing here.

April 5, 2012 8:43 pm Great start to an event. Super campy dialogue and posturing by all the characters but totally required to get me, a non-Avengers or X-Men reader, into the spirit of why these two groups who have known each other forever. Then theres the brilliant JRJR art, with ridiculous facial expressions to match the dialogue. The page where Iron Man and Cap are briefing the Joint Chiefs, the last panel where Tony is un-Iron Manning mad me laugh out loud, looks like he got goosed. Then the top panel on the next page with the Avengers standing in two's looking all serious, but more importantly why are War Machines little guns sticking out? Why is Sub-Mariner, as you say, talking with a ridiculous accent? These are all the reasons I love this issue and then some. I see people comparing it to Civil War, but I think (hope) it's much closer to Secret Wars. I can only hope for a lot of senseless violence and that the writers don't try to rationalize any further why they're about to fight.
