August 27, 2013 10:50 am I think I prefer the Absolute editions - they are 1/2 smaller - and therefore won't have as much stress on the the binding over time (not to mention they are slipcased - and all still available for sale). Also, there have been a few videos made specifically about the poor binding quality of DC hardcovers (at least vs. Marvel), so the thicker they get, the more worried I become.
August 27, 2013 10:47 am I thought 12 was the last Fraction?
August 19, 2013 5:26 pm This is 5 of 6. Next issue (262) is the last. Big rumors of return of X-Factor as part of Marvel Now 2. Hope so (and that it's David writing it).
August 6, 2013 12:26 pm I was very pleasantly surprised by this. I've been avoiding most Event books for a long time now but decided to give this a go as I enjoy the Ultimate Universe (and sad for what might be to come). Very good stuff... stinks that #s 3 and 4 got pushed back.
August 6, 2013 12:22 pm I never see these get comments anymore... in addition to being a fun way to go through the Baum books... the Oz titles are great gateway books. The Oz section is a favorite in my collection.
August 6, 2013 12:20 pm The title of the book foreshadows it's ultimate demise... how long before they aren't all-new anymore. I've enjoyed this in trade... maybe they'll keep them around until Cataclysm (Marvel's New 52?).
July 29, 2013 4:50 pm Though I enjoyed Spider-Men much more than I thought I would, much of the appeal of the Ultimate Universe for me is it's manageability - three core titles and a mini-series here and there and it's easy to keep up with a whole shared universe from one of the Big 2 for not too much $$ evry month. After too much event burnout, other than Daredevil, Hawkeye, and the Oz books, the Ultimate books are the only other Marvel items on my pull. So I'm somewhat nervous by what may be happening with the Ultimate Comics line... afraid the line will end, or become too diluted by it's merging with the 616 to (easily) keep up with anymore. I liked Hunger #1 enough, and I'm keeping an open mind, but hoping there will continue to be a manageable Ultimate Comics line for some time to come. Otherwise there are just too many more Image books I'm not getting that still want my wallet's attention. As much as I like him, I really don't feel like following Miles Morales all over the 616.
July 29, 2013 4:39 pm I'd forgotten about this until #12 came out and was reminded why I liked it so much. Now I'm having fun trying to find good first editions of the series. Great stuff!
July 29, 2013 4:37 pm I've been getting this for Casey alone (who had me with Wildcats), but I'm letting it stack up for a bit for a weekend marathon. Doing the same with the Bounce. I haven't really heard how people are feeling about either one.
July 29, 2013 4:32 pm I've been looking forward to this since the solicit... I'm glad the Vertigo line is starting to get fleshed out again - I'm not excited by everything, but this has been high on my anticipation chart :)
