October 6, 2013 2:47 pm I'm not a massive fan of fantasy but 'Tellos' was a great mini-series. Plus, I appreciated all the 'Jaws' references as I watched it on Blu-ray yesterday, which is the first time I've seen it since I was a kid.
August 30, 2013 9:34 am Personally, mine was Batman / Superman 3 because it has possibly my favourite rendition of Darkseid ever on it.
August 29, 2013 12:55 pm I have re-typed this several times already but (in no particular order) they are: Batman Saga Nowhere Men Wonder Woman (I never thought I'd put WW in a top 5 list!) FF Honorable mention: Hellboy in Hell (it's on a break)
April 19, 2013 2:02 pm Not available in my country? Seems a bit racist, NBC...
April 17, 2013 5:09 pm To be fair, if he's really boycotted the work of Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm, Amanda Conner, Chris Samnee, The Allreds, Eduardo Risso, Brian Azzerello, Becky Cloonan, Steve Rude and Dave Stewart then he's only hurting himself and will likely miss out on some damn good books.
April 8, 2013 1:05 pm Leaving Zatanna out of this would be a huge mistake, in my opinion. Her, Deadman and Constantine form the core of the team. It's be like leaving Superman out of a Justice League movie. Plus you lose the sexual tension between Zatanna and Constantine. Either Frankenstein or Swamp Thing would need to be in this really so Ron Pearlman can play one of them! Plus, as an Englishman, I wouldn't be satisfied with anyone not English playing Constantine. There are very few people who can fake an English accent with any skill. It's be like having a Scottish guy playing Captain America! I accept that we stole Batman, Superman and Spider-man, but some things are sacred. Like Bond, the Doctor and Sherlock Ho… Oh… right….
February 5, 2013 1:56 pm Surely, the most obvious comic based sound effect is the "BOOM!" of the Boom Tube?
November 26, 2012 8:32 pm Has Killowog?
November 26, 2012 8:31 pm Trying to figure out if there are more Green Lanterns or Hank Pym identities on that JLA/Avengers cover... Love that issue of JLA and always thought Bruce and Diana made more sense than Clark and Diana or Bruce and Selina. Oh well. Oh, and Trouble? Bleugh. I don't want to know about Aunt May's previous sexual dalliances thank you very much.
November 21, 2012 9:18 pm Mignola et al just make it look so effortless. Every time I read something with his name on it I feel embarrassed for most other comics and it makes me think that if most comics switched to the Hellboy / BPRD style of doing minis over ongoings then maybe the quality would be a bit better. Can't wait for 'Hellboy in Hell'.
