December 12, 2012 11:31 am I've really enjoyed Snyder's run on Swamp Thing but if I'm honest, I didn't pick it up because of the writer, I picked it up because of the legend that Swamp Thing has through Alan Moore. However, I definately kept buying it because the writing was good. So I'll give the new writer an issue or two and see if I'll drop it.
November 25, 2012 4:18 pm Enjoyed reading that article because recently I did a quick catch up on some of the titles I had missed for a month or two, although it only came to approx £45. I also don't indulge in too much other hobbies, I enjoy the odd Warhammer 40K game but rarely buy new models. The hobby of choice is definately reading comics. Price for me, isn't anything major. I don't want it to sound like I'm made of money but I 100% agree on your statement that you read a particle title for the characters in it. And I will buy the titles I enjoy, sometime picking up an extra "try-out" because I might have heard good reviews.
November 5, 2012 6:32 pm I'm also really looking forward to seeing what the new creative team can come up with. As a few people have already mentioned, it can't be any worse than some of the recent things Lucas did. I hope they don't do a clean re-make if I'm completely honest, spin offs and things like that would be more appealing.
October 14, 2012 4:14 pm Aquaman has been great and Ivan Reis is one of my favourite artists, sad to see him leave on this project. I'll keep it on my pull list until such time that it isn't interesting.
October 8, 2012 10:47 am Bradley Cooper seems like a great choice for Flash and I agree with the keeping Hal Jordan out of this piece, for now. I'm not sure what I think on the Batman subject on this. Maybe Warner Bros will go the way The Avengers did, leaving out Spiderman, in our case, Batman. He has a big draw to his own films and I think the first JL movie shouldn't include him until nearer the end, but write into the story that he got offered to join and he declined. Which leads into the second film where he does become a member.
October 5, 2012 7:53 am I completely agree with the inclusion of Batman: TAS episode in this list. It is certainly the Mr. Freeze that I remember anytime the name is mentioned. Also really enjoyed the Annual with Mr. Freeze in it.
September 16, 2012 5:30 pm A great read. I also thought the film gave a true portrayal of Xavier. I always liked his relationship with Magneto.
September 16, 2012 5:21 pm Enjoyed reading that. DC histories really do help to explain a lot of things.
September 16, 2012 4:54 pm Brilliant. Nightwing or just Dick Grayson in general, is my favourite Bat family character, even if he needed a total style re-vamp in the early days.
July 20, 2012 11:08 am Just, wow. Blown away. Started off a little slow with Wayne being a hermit like character. But from there, it was all great. I enjoyed seeing his first night back out on the cycle, because it was the first time we had saw Batman from TDK, it felt like he had been away for that amount of time. I'll be seeing it again very soon, enjoyed it. I can't even begin to compare it with the other 2 films, they are all very different, they are trying to achieve different goals and I think each one does exactly what is expected.
