July 5, 2011 11:27 pm @Jollyboy That's interesting because I am just buying the main title and have found it a bit boring. However, I started back into comics with Dark Reign and I loved it and it was a great introduction back into the Marvel Universe and after it was completed I knew which books / characters I wanted to follow. People bitch about events but I can see how they are helpful for establishing a quick status quo...then you realize it doesn't matter and just read what you want to read. The events are like a variety pack of cereal.
June 13, 2011 9:25 pm I just started the GI Joe books with the Cobra Ciivil War on a whim and I am really enjoying it. As a complete "GI Joe" newbie, I find the plot to be intriguing in it's simplicity. Kill as many Joe's as possible. It tells me right away that there are "real" stakes and although it hasn't all been perfect, it's fun enough to know that I will be on it for awhile.
Is there a name to that story about Chuckles? I have wanted to pick it up but when I go to the LCS all the GI Joe books are a mess and I am never sure which is the one that I have heard so much about.
