October 7, 2011 5:06 pm I think the last line is my favorite. I have a great deal of respect for cosplayers, in fact I love them. Cons would be way less fun without them. I actually feel bad for those who get their man-panties in a ruffle because cosplayers are "ruining their cred": How little self-esteem do you have if the actions of a bunch of people you don't know, have no connection to you whatsoever and only share the same general space a few times a year can totally destroy your sense of self-worth? I suggest those folks get a smidge of therapy and learn how to love themselves. And maybe get some hugs (if anyone is willing to hugs those mirthless bastards).
October 7, 2011 4:59 pm This. All kinds of this.
October 7, 2011 4:51 pm You forgot to add children to the list of banned cosplayers. If they're not hot chicks wearing pre-approved, mostly nekkid costumes, who gives a crap. Amirite? *crickets*
May 27, 2011 1:53 pm I find it very...confusing that you liked the script so I'm not sure what to make of your thoughts about the pilot. From what little I've seen, I do believe Adrianne Palicki did a good job and I'm not a hardcore traditionalist when it comes to live-action adaptions so I don't have a problem with updates/reimaginings. My problem seemed that Kelley wrote the script without understanding the core of who and what Wonder Woman is. Yes, she fights bad guys and is a trained warrior but she is an emissary of peace. She would not throw a pipe through a henchman's neck and kill him.

My hope is that they keep Adrianne and get a new staff that can tell the story right. A lot of what Kelley was trying to do is salvable, there are interesting ideas there but they need to be executed properly.

Excellet screengrabs btw. :)
May 27, 2011 1:24 pm I think comparing the sales ties was interesting but doesn't account for the actual titles.  I'm curious how the numbers would stack up if you combined affiliate books (i.e. all X-books, all Superman Family titles, Spidey books, Bat-books, etc). I don't know what the data looks like but I get the feeling all the lower tier Marvel books are all Avengers/Spidey/X-affiliated.
