September 7, 2011 1:00 pm Would've pulled this, but as more of a DC guy, just too much this week with the relaunch to check out. But maybe I'll make a last minute change of mind when I'm in the store.
September 1, 2011 6:20 pm Darn, was hoping to head up to San Fran for my first WonderCon next year. Oh well, I'm in L.A., so I guess I'll probably do it in Anaheim and plan to head up in 2013 if they move back. (Also want to check out APE sometime.)
August 29, 2011 4:10 pm I was planning on picking up those top five already, as well as the next three. Not sure about Justice League Dark or All-Star Western, but a Conor endorsement has me at least thinking about giving them a chance.
August 26, 2011 11:12 am That Legion of Super-Heroes sketch has made me sad this morning. But it's awesome.
August 24, 2011 7:09 pm I'm not a Wolverine fan at all, but I saw this was the pick so I picked it up, and, wow. Even though I missed the setup, this was still great, and I can only imagine what it would mean after reading the rest of this story.
July 26, 2011 3:45 pm Loved this panel. I went because it was a lot of people whose opinions I respect and who I find entertaining, but wasn't sure that there would be much to the topic than, of course women should be allowed to represent themselves however they want. However, fascinating discussion, and I was super impressed with Seth Green in particular. Also didn't know how funny Adrianne Curry is, and Bonnie Burton was a great speaker as well. (Sad that Kiala didn't say more.)
June 23, 2011 12:35 am Great book! I still have issue 1 sitting unread since I was too busy that week to get to it, but since it was an anthology series I jumped in with issue 2 and had a lot of fun. Looking forward to digging through my unread stack and reading issue 1. That Darwyn Cooke story was gorgeous. The story with the boxing fight in the background reminded me of a Batman: The Animated Series story, which means it's awesome.

My pick of the week was Captain America, as I thought the art there was fantastic as well, and I thought the characterizations of Bucky, Black Widow, Nick Fury and Cap'n Steve were all spot on. Good action sequences, a nice new mission statement for Bucky (despite whatever happened to him in Fear Itself), and a nice quiet scene with Fury and Steve that reminded me of something out of Heat.
June 22, 2011 8:05 pm Just wrote a review of this, but while I love Paul Cornell and want him to bear my children (wait, that wouldn't work, right?), this just didn't do it for me when it comes to the writing. A few bits that show the Cornell we've come to know and love, and the art was great, but the stakes weren't well played up and all these goofy Doomsdays seem more comical than anything else.
June 22, 2011 7:29 pm My shop sold out of this issue and it wasn't on my initial pull list. *DEEP SIGH*
June 22, 2011 10:13 am Only one that really stood out to me was Hawkman being so far out given his history with the Justice League, but who knows where he'll end up in the new world order of things, so waiting and seeing on that.
