October 8, 2011 1:47 pm I was way into this from issues #1-3 but the brakes began to screech on #4. I think my hope that the X-Men were returning to their glory days as the premier Marvel team and title diluted my ability to see the faulty characterization. Wolverine taking a stand against Cyclops I can buy but Wolverine doing that as the defender of morality? Absolutely not. Aaron was so interested in putting a compelling twist on this storyline that he twisted it too far. I would believe this more if Cyclops was the one defending the children and Wolverine, predictably, was the roughhouser wanting to move defense to offense. I mean, come on, has everyone overlooked the fact that Wolverine is commandeering a black ops team vis a vis Cyclops' orders? The slasher in X-Force wants to be a junior high teacher? Hell no. And, more so, can Marvel back off a little with this guy? After squeezing him into the Avengers line-up we now have to endure him helming his own X-Men team? I say every X-man that joins his team is a punkass traitor and should lose their blue and gold priviliges permanently. And if Storm isn't Team Cyclops than Aaron doesn't know shit about these people and is taking us all for a walk in the park. But I won't be there anyway because splitting up the X-Men on these grounds and giving an oversaturated Wolverine yet another title has turned me off. All burners on low.
September 12, 2011 7:55 pm I am so proud of myself for dropping this after #4. What sheer crap!
September 6, 2011 5:25 pm I have never heard of the term "cover dress" before. I was pretty sure it was going to involve Anne Hathaway and I am relieved that it does not.
September 1, 2011 2:05 am I picked up JL #1 today and I loved it. I'm very excited about the relaunch and I want in on lots of it. Fortunately, I'm at a great place in my comic reading now where I am balancing old love for superheroes (first book I read was Uncanny X-Men #97, you toddlers) but thanks to iFanboy Ive expanded in the last few years and grown into Walking Dead, Locke & Key, Irredeemable, Morning Glories. A shit ton of non-traditional iconic superhero stuff. So I feel like I can grab from this 52 and find gems that are both pop--really want that Wonder Woman!--and more off center like, I hope, Mr. Terrific and Frankenstein. But so much looks good! That Catwoman cover is sweet! And Reis on Aquaman! Yeeesss!
May 5, 2011 7:35 pm I completely agree with this. I only jumped on with #7 hoping to recapture some of my X-Men glory days nostalgia and because there has been some rumbling of that with this title. This issue sucked!

I'm feeling my $3.99 float away as Magneto reads the letter and totally NOT buying the notion that he got Wolverine to go after some Nazi that he didn't have the guts to. The I-built-an-asteroid-base Magneto? The I-hate-Nazis Magneto? Come on, Remender, you phoned it IN, dude!
May 5, 2011 12:34 am This is a great article! I've always wanted to know why Thor has no mom. What's the deal there? In fact, I thought that might be the central plot of Fear Itself.
April 29, 2011 9:27 pm Ooh, my first giveaway!  Looks great! Thanks, guys.
April 9, 2011 7:52 pm He's too much of a cupcake. I was expecting more of a sour cherry tart.
