Bio:      It's Alex from Syracuse, NY. 29 years old, into Comix for 5 years now, found iFanboy through an iFanboy Mini on YouTube last May when I did a search for Astonishing X-men. I thought Josh was Cute, so I started watching Revision 3 and then proceeded to download every iFanboy Podcast off iTunes.     I grew up in the NYC metro area until I was 19 and joined the Military for 6 years.  When I was 24, I walked into an NEX (Naval Exchange) to get my hair cut & took a walk through the book department.  Across from the Magazines on an Aisle end cap display was about 25 comics for sale.  I picked up my first Comic Book that day... It was Uncanny X-men #431 (The Draco, Part 3 of 6) with Northstar on the cover.  Previous to that, my only experiance with Comic Book anything was the X-Men cartoon on Fox and the Batman & Superman Animated Series by Bruce Timm.     I'm not gonna lie... the big draw to my first comic was that Northstar was openly gay and a part of the team.  Being in the Military at the time, I felt I could relate to the X-men as a group that is "Hated and Feared by a world they have sworn to protect." So I dove in head first and tried to get my hands on as much X-men as I could.  I went to Bookstores and Online, ordered almost every TPB I could find on the X-men.  Once I discovered my LCS, I started buying all the current X-titles.  At first I had no interest in getting into anything that didn't have something to do with the X-men.     But then the Crossover's started to happen... With every Event, I started to pick up more and more Books.  Avengers Disassemled got me interested in The Avengers and The Fantasic Four.  Civil War got me to start reading Captain America and Amazing Spiderman.  A Navy friend gave me Crisis on Infinite Earths and Kingdom Come to read.  So that once I read Infinite Crisis I started to follow the Teen Titans, JLA and JSA.  With 52 I fell in love with the character of Booster Gold and with Sinestro Corp War I started to discover the Green Lantern Corps and Green Lantern.     I never followed Writers and Artist before, but after listening to iFanboy... I realized that the stories that I seemed to enjoy the most have been writen by Brian Michael Bendis & Geoff Johns.  Which has gotten me to Discover & Enjoy other works that I didn't consider before; Secret Warriors,  Flash: Rebirth, Superman and the Legion of Superheroes in Action Comics.     Other than Comic Books, I like to be outdoors and be active. I like Running, Kyacking, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Beach Volleyball, Going to the Gym, Traveling and going out with friends.  I used to not watch TV at all, and wait for shows to make it to DVD... but lately have gotten myself into 4 shows during the week: Heroes, Smallville, Dollhouse & Lie to Me.
