August 21, 2013 10:58 pm As an extension of the lack of fun I think these Batman and Superman films' biggest crime is that they don't feel like films that you would happily take a 7 year old to see. Which is just mind boggling to me. As much as I love Dark Knight, and Rises to a far lesser extent, they shouldn't be making these films for me anymore. Marvel I think has done better at making them family viewing in the true sense of the word. Each age group is going to appreciate different aspects more but everyone can enjoy them as a whole. Superhero films especially the well known brands should always be made with kids and adults in mind.
December 3, 2012 1:33 pm I do not like Big Bang Theory ,and not just because it is laughing at us, but because I find it very unfunny. Like all of Chuck Lorre's stuff it feels very much like it is written for my grandparents and others people like them who have little experience with good comedy and just like the safe thrill of something different than christian radio. Comic Book Men on the other hand makes me actually laugh out loud every episode. It captures that teasing nature of real friendship much like the pick of the week podcast.
October 31, 2012 12:32 pm That is all I have ever wanted from this movie since they announced it awhile back. This whole film could just be the two Magnetos and Professor Xs locked in a room with each other and I would be totally cool with that.
August 8, 2012 6:01 pm Affleck is a fantastic filmmaker and certainly a notch above the kind of directors I assumed they would choose for this. A big win for Warner if they can convince him.
May 30, 2012 11:07 am A Raven book if done right and marketed correctly could bring in a new audience, particularly teenage girls. It seems like it would be easy to make this feel like the female character driven 'urban fantasy' genre that has been dominating book sales the past few years. If it is well done and you can get a Stephenie Meyer or a Suzanne Collins to recommend it and a few ads on the CW I think it would be a big hit.
April 2, 2012 2:20 pm I disagree. Who was the big name star on The Walking Dead or Lost? I think television can sell on just an intriguing enough premise without a big star far easier than film can.
March 16, 2012 10:36 am Is Spider-Man the super hero with the most cartoon versions? It sure feels that way, which must make doing another one difficult for the writers so I applaud them for trying something different. Looks like fun.
March 10, 2012 3:36 pm A ton of fun but I found it weird that there was never a seen between Wally and Barry. I mean surely if anyone is going to acknowledge Wally's birthday it would be him.
August 3, 2011 11:54 am I wish this movie was real.
July 28, 2011 8:42 pm Maybe I'm mistaking this for something else but isn't there some kind of crazy scheme story behind this book? Something like no one had ever heard of it until it suddenly it was in everyone's bag at San Diego like 5 years ago or something? Did I make that up?
