Jurassicalien

Name: Cameron Rice

Bio: I've been reading the books that they call "comic" for some time now. I was strickly Super-Hero till I stumbled across iFanboy in early 05. From that point I have been picking up new and "edgyer" material that I show to my friends and they go "WTF dude!?" (Guy having his face nailed back on in Preacher will get that reaction).

January 18, 2012 10:23 am Where would I see this logo? Some possible things: Accounting firm, legal firm, doctor's office, those doors in malls that don't really go anywhere, possible to mall security or management. Paper company. The logo that pops up when you watch a DVD all the way through to the end and think "Oh I guess they made the DVD." Not the movie studio, but the people who did the DVD burning.
January 17, 2012 10:43 am I will say James Gunn's Super is quite enjoyable, very dark, but quite enjoyable.
January 10, 2012 11:00 pm I'm more of a writer guy myself (and Simonson is a hell of a writer in his own right). But Simonson is one of the few artist who's work I will pick up when something new is announced. So for him to be working on this book (A book I'm still enjoying) is awesome. Can't wait for this run.
December 21, 2011 10:28 am It's allllll about Gollum in the end. Can. Not. Wait.
    December 20, 2011 9:54 am I...I don't even...wow...
December 19, 2011 4:19 pm I think it's awesome that this is going to be a "conclusion" film. That Nolan is taking the story to it's next steps as opposed to "another Batman Adventure." Don't get me wrong, love the Batman Adventures. But to see this series end as opposed to leave a door open to a sequel is awesome.
December 6, 2011 11:43 pm I'm gonna get this. Just letting everyone know!
December 4, 2011 9:59 am I'm very excited for this film. People don't seem to realize that it's being directed by Andrew (Wall-E, Finding Nemo) Stanton. His first live action film, and the script is adapted by Stanton, Mark Andrews and Michael Chabon. A writer many people around here like. This was supposed to be Pixar's first live action film, and from my understanding, it kind of is. The only reason, at the end of the day this is "Disney's John Carter" and not "Pixar's John Carter" is they knew it'd be be PG-13, and weren't sure how people would feel about a PG-13, violent Pixar film. But it was made in the same fashion as all the other Pixar films from the creative standpoint. All of them (Lassater, Docter, etc) being involved in pre-production and getting the film ready. Stanton has been talking about this film since Wall-E. I'm very excited. Also for those curious, the first five novels are free on Amazon Kindle.
December 1, 2011 3:49 pm I'm loving Spaceman. I know it's only two issues in (of nine). But I can't help but feel this will be something I double dip on. Get the issues to be part of the conversation, and then get the hardcover. I hope this is made a hardcover.
