May 17, 2013 7:05 pm I haven't read Fraction's F4, nor any of Hickman's run on the franchise, so I can't say how it compares. All I know is that I'm loving the current FF. Allred's art is really good and a lot of the humor and character writing sticks. Give it a shot, see if it impresses you.
May 17, 2013 2:53 pm When I read FF, I kept thinking "That's gonna be in Panels...no, wait, THAT'S gonna be in Panels...no no no, THAT'S definitely gonna be in Panels!" Really great stuff this week from that book.
May 16, 2013 8:56 pm I like how "Invulnerable" is in quotes, as if the Kent's refuse to recognize it as a real word.
May 15, 2013 7:04 pm Beefy.
May 10, 2013 3:30 pm Does anyone actually use the AR thing in the Marvel books? Does it add anything beyond a distraction?
May 9, 2013 3:25 pm I love the idea of big budget animated superhero features. I've been loving the direct-to-video ones from DC and at most liking the ones from Marvel, but I really dig the idea of taking cartoon superheroes and putting them on the big screen. Big Hero Six is an unusual place to start, but screw it, I'm in.
May 4, 2013 5:12 am I get the sense that this is the discussion the higher-ups had about the Mandarin: Person 1: So it's the third movie. We have to get the Mandarin in there. Have we figured out how to work that? Person 2: Nope. No matter what, he's still a cartoon character. He's Fu Manchu with Green Lantern rings and Jackie Chan superpowers. He's too damn out there to put on screen. Person 1: Well we gotta get him in there. How do we make a cartoon character work? Person 3 (throws up arms): Why don't we just make him a fake? Would that work? And then it did. At least I think it did.
May 2, 2013 2:00 pm I was at this Con. It was pretty cool. I bought a copy of Stumptown and then got it signed by Greg Rucka.
May 1, 2013 9:05 pm This was a solid book and might've been my pick of the week too. However, I'm tired of reading about dead kids, so...no thanks.
April 25, 2013 2:22 pm Their ship is called "Rosebud II" and is shaped like a sled. I don't even...what?
