September 15, 2011 12:25 pm Watching Beer Wars a couple years ago cemented my craft beer fandom. I was already a regular at the Flying Saucer but the 'why' behind liking craft over BMC became real watching that docu. Good stuff!
June 2, 2011 6:13 pm @conor I was just hopeful (as was my wallet) but I am used to ordering through DCBS and getting the books a month behind anyway. Even then, it will still be a premium for digital over print but the premium for the space saved is worth it to me.
Dark Empire was the first comic trade collection I ever owned; I got it during the late 90's Star Wars resurgence as I started Junior High. I am pretty sure the Zahn Trilogy takes place about 1 year before this story (which drops you right into the middle of the battle for Coruscant).
I can remeber as a kid thinking that the art and especially the color was so wierd but it also was easy to recognize all the characters. I am pretty sure I saw a lot of the original artwork for sale last year by Mr Kennedy to help him with medical expenses; i would love to own the pages of Luke and the Reborn Emperor's lightsaber battle. Good stuff. . .
After reading this article back in October I put in an InterLibrary loan request and got the first 4 Delano trades + the Rare Cuts trade to get started and all I can say is wow. My library has most of the later trades but I'll have to use ILL to get the earlier stuff. I know you said that you don't have to start at the beginning but i am glad I did as these stories are actually really really good. I am on the last issue of the second trade and can't wait to continue on through the rest of the series.
After doing a little research I saw that it is pretty well covered in trades as a series except for a large chunk from the 80s to the 120s or so. Why such a big gap? Was anything in there any good and worth seeking out?

This should be up for the cover of the week....
Well, I had meant to read Hellblazer for a while and I went online and reserved the first three trades at the library.
