I'm so happy this is a period piece, and we get to see Cap in WWII. This means we can skip about an hour of "mild-mannered weakling intro -> super serum -> training montage -> WWII exploits montage -> mission gone wrong/accident -> cryogenic preservation -> man-out-of-time" before getting to the meat of the story.
The idea of vintage cars, men in hats, tommy-guns and late-night parachuting sounds good to me.

I was very young when I watched the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman show on TV, but I remember that the WWII episodes were great, and the current-day episodes were not as good. It seems to me that patriotic character like these work better in a historical context.
