August 16, 2012 2:16 pm I would recommend the Showcase Presents: of Enemy Ace and Sgt. Rock as affordable ways to follow his works.
August 16, 2012 2:13 pm I never had the honor of meeting Joe Kubert. However, Sgt. Rock and Enemy Ace are two of my all time favorite characters. I admit I choked up when Rock died in "Legacies". Frank Rock and Hans Von Hammer are two of the most realistic military figures, especially with their personal aversions to war. I also enjoyed Joe's "Tarzan" work for DC in the 1970's. Mr. Kubert will live on through his work, his sons' work and the Kubert School. I miss him very much.
June 26, 2012 12:09 pm Love the review and agree about the Tim Burton film. I love it!
June 19, 2012 1:12 pm I also like Phantom Stranger, Spectre, and Doctor Fate. The Adventure Comics run in the early 70's with Jim Aparo art is the Spectre at his crime punishing best.
June 18, 2012 2:13 pm I agree about Sherlock Holmes, though I might like to invite Conan Doyle's Professor Challenger also.
June 11, 2012 12:08 pm I am not a big Marvel fan but I loved this book and love Alex Ross' work. It is one of his finest, along with Shazam!: The Power of Hope.
February 9, 2012 12:15 pm www.arrobasilver.com has many DC comics silver rings. I have bought several, including an Aquaman Justice League ring. Very cool.
