In one issue, Snyder manages to introduce Swamp Thing to new readers, firmly root the book in the DCU, and…

Writing a review for this one is a little tricky.  Let me start by saying that Guardians is one of…

I admit that I picked up this book because of Abnett and Lanning.  As you find out on the last page though,…

March 28, 2012 1:31 pm Art was great. Story seemed pointless.
October 12, 2011 12:48 pm For me, the artist/writer combo is very important for telling a story. I think the idea of switching artists each arc is fine to make sure that the book comes out on time, but I don't like when the comic is solicited one way and then delivered another. For instance, the last Gail Simone Birds of Prey relaunch was a mess. Every issue was a different artist. Ugh! I can't imagine if a comic switched writers every other issue... DC seems to assume that the writer is way more important than the artist for telling a story.
October 10, 2011 2:16 pm From what I saw in the preview pages, the art IS NOT by Marco Rudy, but by two other artists. Unlike most people, I thought the first issue was alright. (Although it was nowhere near as good as Secret Six...) But, DC will not be getting my money if they keep switching artists on me mid-arc.
September 10, 2011 2:00 pm Check out Main Street Comics in Milltown if you have the chance. The staff is friendly, and they have tons of back issues for $1 or less!
August 24, 2011 12:12 pm I actually liked the last few issues. I was amazed by the depth Hickman was able to add to the Kree/Inhuman relationship! And while Tocchini's art is radically different from Epting's and Kitson's, I thought it worked well in these issues. I understand the complaints though. It took me a while to appreciate Wes Craig after Pelletier and Walker, but I eventually came around! Hickman is golden right now.

Feels like this came out just last month!

This issue definitely has two different artists, and the inking isn't quite as clear as it was in the first issue.  Still, the story is great, especially if you're familiar with Simone's ealier BOP run!

The conclusion to this seemed a little rushed, but it was still every good overall!

Both books will be on hiatus next month when Thanos Imperative is released, but I don't know if they're on hiatus indefinitely or if the plan is to resume them shortly afterward.  If Marvel cancels Guardians, I will jump ship to DC only!
