November 26, 2009 5:40 am This was an outstanding issue. I would rank it just behind issue #1.  This completely out shines an average Secret Invasion story in many ways.
October 16, 2009 5:26 am In my opinion this 1st issue is a complete mess just like the old Web series.
September 17, 2009 5:44 am I look at the big picture with this event and this issue works perfectly with how Johns is advancing his story. Overall, this issue is another example of excellent storytelling to what looks to me like a no brainer 5 start event. This chapter seems just as strong as the first two chapters. I think your review misses the point that when all three books are read as a whole thus far we have outstanding 1st act to an epic event.

You had us on that one (although you should have occupied the city).   Actually, I love London and had a wonderful trip down to Dover several years ago.

P.S... glad we could help you out in WW2.

As you can see we don't hold grudges.

P.S.

My apology to the UK for my ethnocentric ways.

I'm too old to get in a fight. I just use the DSM-IV R when diagnosing clients. Pedophile (one affected with Pedophilia) is an interesting view. I respectfully disagree.

Marvel could have shown Peter dealing with the guilt of Aunt May's death and milked that for awhile. I mean of all stories that need to happen for time progression it is Aunt May kicking the bucket. Unfortunately, we all will be dead before this character meets any logical conclusion.

July 25, 2009 6:28 am Now SarahMonkey for readers to take your review seriously who may want to spell correctly. Pedophile is the condition I think you are mentioning. Defense is spelled with an S. I won't get into your sentence structure. Aside from that I have no idea what you are talking about. Let's just say I disagree with your analysis.
July 24, 2009 6:51 am I completely agree with you which makes me a grumpy old man as well. I think that's the point for Marvel. They are not worried about the "old" guys but the new generation of readers. The reboot makes since from a business standpoint but sucks for us. My first Spidey story was #124 which I bought from the rack at the local drugstore. I've been hooked ever since. Spidey was character I related to as I grew up. In fact he married MJ right about the time I married in my life. For us this is old ground. We have "been there and done that." I think Marvel figures we are not going anywhere but what what about all the younger readers and future readers. It's a Brand New Day.
