January 21, 2010 6:09 pm Kitty Pryde is the one that depresses me. When I first started reading comics, I was a few years younger than her. Now I'm so much older than her, she probably wouldn't even date me.
January 14, 2010 11:36 pm Seems a little strange. What, do they expect people to pick up the first issue and then jump to whatver random issue is currently out? I guess it's a cheap way to try a new series out, but some of these have bargain priced first trades which is probably a better option.
January 13, 2010 6:30 pm Even if these issues are still clogging the shelfs, it seems like they could be put to better use than trading them in for a comic that you'd have to sell at a huge markup just to make a profit on. A retailer could generate more future sales and interest by selling them to his customers at cost or even giving them away on free comic book day. Get a reader to buy a single comic and that's all the money you're getting. Get them to start picking up a monthly series and you keep generating income.
November 30, 2009 10:43 pm Now that I have 40 longboxes, I keep wishing the comic companies would agree on an iTunes-like central digital comics service. It's gotten to the point where I have to spend an entire day every couple of years just integrating new books into my existing collection and I can barely walk the next day. I hate the thought of giving them away, but I don't have the time to sell them on eBay.
Considering how much Marvel has been trying to steal DC’s thunder lately, I’m guessing the new book will be called Brightest Avengers.
