THE COMIC BOOK HISTORY OF COMICS GN
May 27, 2012 11:12 am A great read, being reasonably well read up on the subject covered here I felt like it could have gone a little deeper in places, there were still a few nuggets of history that taught a thing or two, would defiantly recommend this around.

DARK HORSE PRESENTS #12
May 27, 2012 11:08 am Two great talents on the Alien strip been a while since I saw any of Sam Kieth's art & Dorkin's 8 HOF pages were the best yet.

May 24, 2012 12:34 pm I'm late to the party with Hickman's run but "sublime" pretty much covers my feelings.
I'm holding on for an omnibus('s) (omnibi?)

May 13, 2012 4:02 pm I'm not sure where all the Bendis bashing I read on the net comes from, I suppose I have only followed his creator owned stuff so I don't have the complete picture though, I enjoyed this book for what it was and will be hanging around for a while to see what develops.

MYSTERY IN SPACE #1
May 12, 2012 11:38 am I think Pope tweeted something about missing the deadline for this, which is obviously a shame but you know his work is always worth the wait even if the wait is years ( I'm looking at you battling boy and total thb) what ever he was meant to bring to the table will come out eventually
Real sting is the Mike Allred cover (used in all the solicits up until about a week ago it seems) being a "retailer incentive" variant. As a borderline obsessive Allred completist I have got to twawl the rough waters of the internet to track this bad boy down :( won't be able to sleep right until its mine.

BATMAN #9
May 12, 2012 11:28 am I'm still not loving Capullo as much as most, some issues have been good (with 5 being the obvious standout) other issues (like this) just look like his mid 90's Spawn work. Dated by current standards. He can handle the big action fine, but the subtler non-costume characters are not his best work and just come off as the same sorry template he has always utilised.
Now if (or when) Albuquerque comes over full-time this book will be near perfect.
