Name: Fred Nunez

Bio: I love stories of fantasy and glory that act as a metaphor for how we feel on this spinning rock. They give us hope and they give us joy and i don't see anything wrong with that.

August 28, 2013 8:18 pm I would love to see DC do a self contained JLA book set in that universe, it could work the way Adventures of Superman does or video game titles they have out now. I bet it would sell, that along with Justice League International are the two incarnations i am most familiar with. The JLA Title to be had the most attractive story telling and characters i still miss that book.
August 5, 2013 2:02 pm Gosh i read the DC presents Superman Story, and The X-men The End (i did not dig it) and X-Force #1 (did not dig it)
August 5, 2013 1:58 pm I always took he use of "Shelf Porn" as being kind of a joke, like since they are taking all these glamor shots of their toys and displaying it for all to see. It never made me violently angry or anything. I respect your opinion but with your mega phone why not take a moment you help highlight some of the more serious offenses made in the comic book community or maybe take a less immature take on the problem with the use of the words. Porn is what it is can't defend that and i will never defend the vile objectification of women or the racism and sexism and elitism in comics or mistreatment of creators in comics. But i also have learned it never helps to lowers one self to the level of the thing you disagree with, or to let emotion overwhelm rational thought.
June 8, 2013 9:53 am I love this announcement the line up looks fantastic, i like Greg land no problem with him at all. I have never read anything by this writer but i can't wait to see what he has to offer. I don't read any more Avengers books really not since the Last Mighty Avengers Series ( i loved that series) This book Fantastic! i hope it sells can't wait to read it!
May 5, 2013 8:06 am The art was Great! i love the artist on this book, Dale Eaglesham does a great Iron Man. I'm not too hot on the story so far but that i can only truly judge when its all said and done.
May 5, 2013 7:52 am This movie was okay, it was funny and had a good amount of action but i could not help but notice... 1) The Iron Patriot was barely used and his role in the movie didn't make any sense, when tony is apparently killed his Best friend in the world doesn't really seem to care too much. In part one Rhodey seemed to hell bent on finding him in this movie it wasn't clear what Iron Patriot was doing in this movie. Also how messed up is it that that little kid had more screen time than than James Rhodes? The kid was cool but there seemed to me to be room in the story to showcase the Iron Patriot more. 2) the Mandarin was so disappointing, the decision by the creative side to use him the way they did just felt so wrong. It was kind of a cheap twist i would have liked it better if they would have just created a new character and used him instead of just taking a big poop on the Mandarin character. I can't figure out how, the Marvel Creative Team (Bendis, Quesada Ect.) would approve this frankly insulting use of a legitimate villain. They reduced the character to a joke and have committed it to a film that will last forever its weird.

February 10, 2013 8:12 pm I enjoyed the episode and the end of the show was great, i think a big battle is coming and we are going to start getting some pay off on the storyline.
February 5, 2013 7:15 pm But what is the problem isn't something that requires this much analysis what if people just don't like comics anymore. I understand and respect what fraction is saying, but i just feel that the "aging" fan base and the "Long term Fan" have become these buzz words that represent a problem that isn't there. The "Old Fan boy" is keeping the industry going while the new reader spends his or her time doing things they like better than comics. I get the need for new readers to jump in and replace the readers that grow old and die (that sounds crazy extreme lol) but it might just be that the new reader isn't there because he does not want to be there. And we can dress up the comic book with all the bells and whistles we want but they will just not respond in a huge massive way. Comics are niche, and maybe that's not so bad. Maybe we are thinking of comics as something they are not, they are not movies and they never will be. They are not prose books, hell they aren't even video games. Maybe comics are this little corner or entertainment that have peeks and valleys that sometimes grab the attention of a mass audience (with no explanation why) then sheds some fans and keeps the die hard fan until the next peek come along.
February 3, 2013 1:17 pm I enjoyed this episode tremendously. I liked the Super friends up date, and the ending with the Beetles was exiting and has me looking forward to next week. it is a shame this show won't be back next year.
