February 8, 2013 5:36 am Great episode. So let me get this straight: The same week that Slade Wilson debuts on Arrow is the same week that DC decides to cancel his current book? Why would the develops of Arrow feel he is worth investing in their show but DC publishing cannot see any value in keeping his current title on the shelf. I see some inconsistency here. Anybody else agree?
January 24, 2013 7:18 am I am really enjoying this show. There are so many different dynamics between the characters which helps drive the show. I wish they would start showing the liberal side of Ollie Queen that was developed when Neal Adams was working on him in the 70s.
January 18, 2013 5:43 pm This was a great issue. The accurate depictions of all the major Batman villains was remarkable. I feel the Joker finds that the Riddler is the clear threat over Two Face and Penguin. It was funny how when the cell locked all three villains in both Two Face and Penguin turned to Riddler for help. Too bad the Joker put sedatives in his jacket though lol.
January 14, 2013 11:48 pm I grew up watching Batman the animated series in the 90's so my first picture of Batman is of Bruce Timm. However I love Tim Sale in the comics. He brought a noir style to Batman the I have not seen before or after.
October 20, 2012 2:57 pm I must admit up front that I am a huge Green Arrow fan. I didn't know what to think going into this new series because I very much enjoyed enjoyed the portrayal of Green Arrow on Smallville. I really love the show after the first two episodes. I love the relationship dynamics between Oliver and Speedy and with his bodyguard. The best scene in my opinion so far has been when Speedy walks into Oliver's bedroom and finally sees the physical scars on her big brother. The look on her face and the proceeding scene near the tombstones was powerful. Some people have been criticizing Oliver's lack of personality but I think it plays a big part in the story. He doesn't know what to make of himself now that he is back in the real world. Can't wait to see what happens next.
October 11, 2012 8:53 pm Maybe the Joker really loves Gotham more than Batman. Maybe the Joker realizes that Batman can be even more effective in stopping crime by persevering through these horrible trials the Joker seems to put him through. Maybe the Joker is also disgusted by himself. After everything he has done (killing Jason todd, shooting Gordon's wife and Barbara), Batman has more allies than every before. So in reality the Joker is responsible for Batman becoming weaker. The stronger Batman gets, the more evil the Joker has to become to play the game as he likes to put it.
October 11, 2012 2:08 pm This was an enjoyable read but nothing special. This serious seems to me like a supernatural comic book version of the old Kung Fu tv show with David Carradine. lol
October 11, 2012 2:02 pm Thanks Paul. I have a feeling we have not seen the last of this new Joker/Harley dynamic. I will absolutely check out that podcast with Snyder.
October 11, 2012 1:56 pm I think that this new suit makes perfect sense if used correctly in the story. If Superman is going to be battling in outer space it is only fitting that he wears some form of different attire whether it be armor or what not. However on earth his colors should always be the traditional red and blue.
