Name: Donald Donahue III

Bio: Hello, my name is Donnie. I am a part-time student pursuing my under-grads in English and work part-time at a pop-culture store. The store I work at sells comics and graphic novels as well as music, movies, clothing, posters, memorabilia and many other items. I fell in love with comics with a little team called the X-Men back in the early 90s. During that time I read a lot of X-Books, Spawn, Spider-Man, and Superboy. Nowadays I read a little bit of everything and feel that between Marvel and DC I usually lean towards Marvel. I mainly read superhero comics, but I do enjoy the offbeat genre comics and down-to-earth/real-life comics. Aside from comics and graphic novels I also enjoy reading books which once again I have a wide range of what I like but I mostly enjoy Fantasy, Science Fiction, contemporary American fiction, and Harlem Renaissance. While I can come off snobby sometimes, I try not to and also seek to not be categorized as a snob.

May 20, 2012 11:37 pm The opening song should have been For Whom the Bell Tolls (because I doubt anyone would want to hear LL Cool J's Ring my Bell though I wouldn't mind it)
May 9, 2012 8:24 pm I think you're right I thought this would have been the 4th time but Ron may had simply appraised particular issues during the UXF #17 podcast. None the less I wonder which series is the record holder for most POTW issues.
May 9, 2012 8:19 pm Ron you may have said this in your review but I have 2 questions: 1. How many times does it make for this AWESOME comic to get Pick of the Week? 2. What is the record holder for comic with most Pick of the Week issues? Happy birthday to the guy with some of the most infectious enthusiasm for comics and film. Rest assured I share your outrage in the X-Men's progress in AVX.
May 8, 2012 12:53 pm I understand the concerns given here. I have heard differentiating stories as to how it is to work with Joss Whedon but here is my feeling. First I could never imagine anyone cooler to get to work with. Secondly I would be more on board than off board for an Avengers sequel. I think what Whedon did that was amazing (as said before) was to give us a bigger and better Hulk after two failed movies AND let's not forget Black Widow. I remember her performance being not all that memorable in Iron Man 2 or even making it seem like she was anything outside of a martial-arts sexy super-spy. And what do we get in Avengers? A really strong opening and introduction with her pulling off amazing stunts and how could we ever discredit her amazing rope-a-dope interrogation scene with Loki. Joss was able to clean up slack in past characters. I would like to think whatever the decision, Mr. Whedon would NOT go for trying out an Avengers sequel unless he felt like he had all the pieces in their place and had in line a movie to better his past success. But, that's just my opinion.
May 8, 2012 12:39 pm Comics AND beer?!? How can anyone not support this?
May 7, 2012 5:08 pm Was I the only one who left the theater dying to try Shawarma?

April 1, 2012 5:56 pm Hi guys so according to the dictionary "necrophilia" is defined as "An erotic attraction to corpses" so basically it sounds like a give or take. I have Daredevil 10 on my stack so I am yet to read it. So it depends if his cuddling is out of sexual urges or he had the intention to commit sexual things with the corpse. I know it doesn't answer it, and I'm sure you guys have moved on from that discussion, but none the less hope this comment helps.
March 28, 2012 9:34 am In all seriousness, I am interested in seeing what exactly this will be. So far I have been enjoying Bendis's Ultimate Spider-Man issue to issue so I am waiting to see what this little fiasco is going to be.
