May 24, 2013 1:28 pm Yes, dogs are welcome. As long as they don't dribble on my seats..err, chairs.
May 24, 2013 12:59 pm My dream is to open a comic shop with a nice lounge area, where you can play games and drink craft beer. Anyone want to fund that for me?
April 11, 2013 3:30 pm I'll take the under, but just BARELY.
March 21, 2013 1:16 pm I've had a lot of success with "Fables", especially with women-friends who had never picked up a comic in their lives. Also, "Pride of Baghdad" and "WE3" have been successful.
March 15, 2013 2:13 pm Is anyone else tired of reading "you can read either book on it’s own, and you’ll understand and be able to enjoy them, but, if you’re reading both books together, you get a broader more nuanced picture" type of statements? It's the equivalent of athletes who get interviewed and say "We just try to go out there and play harder than the other team. We got a good group of guys, you know, who give it their all. We just gotta go out there, attack the (net, basket, etc.), try to conrol the (puck, ball, etc.) more than the other team, and come out on top, you know?" It means absolutely nothing after a while.
March 1, 2013 2:43 pm Not only to find anything, but you can easily throw out your back with the LB. Comic storage furniture sounds AWESOME though. I think the problem is that even if it looks appealing, there's still so damn many that space is still an issue. I often thought about a storage locker, but is $50 a month worth the room?
March 1, 2013 2:12 pm I struggle with this daily, myself. I don't think there's an easy answer. Do I want to keep that old "Ghostbusters" run? Yes, yes I do. Do I need to? Not really. Does it take up tons of space? Oh god yes. What we need is a Comic Hutch. Where are all your comics, honey? In the Comic Hutch! But serisously, tell me what to do.
February 22, 2013 1:28 pm Your last sentence referenced not one, but two Van Halen songs. Well played?
February 13, 2013 12:35 pm I read the AmiComi Power Girl issue solely for Amanda Conner's artwork, and I stopped reading the moment her art ended. Wasn't my cup of tea.
February 13, 2013 12:29 pm Man oh man. I remember some of my first Superhero toys were the "Super Powers" figures. I had Joker (with removable coat tails!), Penguin, and Lex Luthor. And a Dr. Fate which I believe was from that set...
