May 21, 2012 10:20 am In response to most all of the commenters of this article in somewhat defense of the body of work, I wish to submit a reasoning opinion to Molly's anguish. This article seems rather the tipping point of her own frustration, rather than that of the comics industry. Not to say that she wouldn't or couldn't be annoyed by this book otherwise. I mean, female readers do have a certain right to be upset with most of the propaganda printed in comics. But that seems not to be the case here, especially the way she began the article. I say this with all respect to Molly, I read most all of her articles published here at iFanboy and love her opinions and writing, but just here and now I think this article is somewhat senseless to the actual comics medium.
May 7, 2012 9:06 pm Yes, there are ALWAYS going to be some things a news outlet could/should do better with. Whether that's articles/coverage or opinion and analysis -- its true just the same for all the news outlets. Whether comics or video games, music or movies, there is always something can be improved on. The same thing is true for iFanboy. We listen -- I listen -- because I love hearing Conor, Josh, and Ron discuss their books. They each have interesting opinions, sometimes shared by the community and sometimes not. That's why I love it! Gary4362, as the guys would say on the show about a book -- if you're not enjoying it, drop it. Check out other sites. If you find one you like, good for you. If you can't, you should keep trying. But at the end of the day, this is MY comic community.
    April 11, 2012 10:17 am Action Comics, I mean.
April 11, 2012 10:16 am @jerriblankstare Read this when it goes to trade. Collected together, this reads incredibly well.
April 11, 2012 10:13 am Therefore, since brevity is the soul of wit, And tediousness the limbs and outward flourishes, I will be brief. Your noble son is mad. . . . Hamlet Act 2, scene 2, 86–92 And indeed, we are mad. I agree with nearly everything you had to say, Mr. Romo. All except one criticism. Morrison's run on Action still has the potential of being an interesting story where Clark learns the role of Superman. He may look like Superman, but he still has to learn to be Superman. My recommendation is to keep holding on with this title. The next couple of issues look promising.
March 25, 2012 10:52 pm Duly noted that Grant didn't invent it, he just epitomized it.
March 23, 2012 8:03 pm Yeah, the pacing is very Grant. Which is cool, but also a shame. No artist should practice imitation. No offense Ales, I'm really curious about the story.
March 23, 2012 7:59 pm Totally agree. I wanted to leave my personal opinion out of the review as much as possible and just talk about the story -- which, as a whole, I thought was very good. But I do agree with everything you said. The biggest problem was there really wasn't any substance to the book. It would have helped the story a lot for Oren to have developed a few relationships along the way. Not just summaries on fellow fighters. Anyhow, all else aside, this will read well in trade.
