February 25, 2011 11:15 am I'm picking my jaw up off the floor. Absolutely stellar stuff this week - LOVE the Colan Dracula. Mike Hawthorne's Cassidy is yet another awesome Preacher sketch (see last week's Francovilla's (sp?) Jesse Custer), Doom Patrol is cool, and sexy Batman just made me laugh.

February 24, 2011 2:56 pm No need for exact change - the Avengers security card allows them to ride any bus to anywhere (as long as it is along that bus' regular route). However, commandering a bus is NOT within the parameters of an Avenger's bus riding privilages. Advantage - bus driver.

I want a moustache like the guy sitting behind the driver.

While I was never a giant fan of his comics stuff, when he did get a hit, it was usually a homerun. His FF stuff - coming as it did between JMS and Millar - was easily better than either of those runs. And don't forget Beyond, a great little story from Marvel. And his JL/JLU stuff were great episodes.

A wonderful talent and from all accounts, a kind and plesant person. Sorry to hear of his passing.

February 22, 2011 11:11 am Bravo! I don't think my stack has dwindled at all over the last year - while I've read some trades, I mostly just add to them (has anyone ever been able to get Marvel HCs for $5 a pop at one of those outlet store bookstores? I have - and a lot of them, too).
