The Best of the Week in Covers – 09.28.2011
September 30, 2011 9:52 am I really love that Justice League Dark cover. Also, the Flash is great. But I think my favourite is probably that American Vampire one. I really need to start reading that series.

September 29, 2011 10:58 am I think I will probably be checking this out. I love some stories with the Hulk and this looks like it might be fun.

REVIEWS: DC Comics 52 Pick-Up – Week Four
September 29, 2011 10:40 am I really loved Aquaman. Not sure why, but it was one of my favourites of the week. And I actually enjoyed Hawkman quite a bit as well, maybe because I don't have any real ties to the character whatsoever. I might not stay with it, but I thought it was an enjoyable issue. Same with Justice League Dark, though I might stay with that one, depends on issue 2. However I didn't really enjoy Voodoo. The art was good but I wasn't a huge fan of the story. I, Vampire was my surprise of the week though, I enjoyed that much more than I thought I was going to, since I bought it for the art only. Also, Flash was great.

Wolverine & The X-Men Regenesized: Issue #1 & #2 Covers
September 27, 2011 11:46 am Are there multiple Nightcrawlers on that team? I am confused. Or is that just one teleporting around?
To be clear, I have no problem if it is multiple, the more Nightcrawlers the better.

REVIEWS: DC Comics 52 Pick-Up – Week Three
September 22, 2011 12:02 pm Batman was easily my favourite of these. Followed closely by DCU Presents Deadman and Supergirl. I actually really enjoyed the introduction to Deadman, even if it was a little text-heavy at times, but since I've never read anything with him before I felt like I really got to know who the character was. Supergirl was kind of a good ol' fashioned comic book. Batman, well that was just amazing. Catwoman I thought was pretty good. I didn't mind the sexy stuff, for the most part. Though the stuff with Batman at the end made me like the book a bit less. Blue Beetle was fine.
I think I might have to go get Wonder Woman, though it will probably be sold out, like most of the books are on the second day. Which is both really great, and really bad.

Zen and the Art of Comic Book Reboots
September 19, 2011 1:06 pm I'm not quite sure I agree with your analogy. Lucas is going back and changing the original movie for people who want to own it. That's not quite like reboot that DC is doing. A more apt comparison I think would be if in the reprints of Watchmen from now on they started using the ending from the movie, by a different artist, in the book instead of the original. He's not rebooting Star Wars, he's changing his original work. And you better believe that comic fans would freak out if they changed Watchmen.
I'd be okay if they rebooted Star Wars though.
Oh, and all the rage and hate could have been avoided if he would just put both versions on the disc, original and new.

DC Relaunch Week One – By the Numbers
September 12, 2011 4:25 pm Those seem to be indicative of how the books seemed to be doing ay my store. All those lowest pulled and rated books were still on the shelves, and almost everything else sold out, except for Action Comics and Justice League, which still had some left of both of those. But Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Batgirl, Batwing all were gone by Sunday when I went in. Good for DC, it seems like lots of people are at least trying stuff out.
I'm really curious about the second month and onward sales trends though, if they stay relatively high, or drop back down to where they were pre-relaunch.

Marvel’s Next Big Thing: SHATTERED HEROES with Matt Fraction & Ed Brubaker
August 19, 2011 5:16 pm I find it interesting that they said that Thor was demoted. Does that mean that Thor doesn't die but is actually just punished for his actions during Fear Itself? Or was it just a way of not specifying and spoiling later things in Fear Itself. Or both?
I'm not entirely sold on everything Fear Itself, but I think I might go pick up some of these series, specifically Hulk and Defenders. Maybe also the stuff about the Forgiven.

TRAILER: ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ is a Trailer for a Movie
August 19, 2011 5:00 pm Yeah, I'll probably be seeing this one. I love the chain-whip action. And the pissing fire is stupid, but hilarious. It may be immature, but it's fun to be immature every once in a while.
