Judging by the title of this book, I assumed it was a book about racism. I guess I was wrong.

I can draw if anyone needs an artist. I write a bit, too.
The 'Nightwing: Year One' trade has Dick meeting Deadman, and in fact shows that Nightwing's original super-sized collar was inspired by Deadman (within the story, that is).
And I'm not really into either, but I would gladly throw money at whatever companies decided to publish a Star Trek/Star Wars crossover. That's just rad, dipped in awesome.
@Josh: Great article, man. I really enjoy these. I have a question, though: As a reviewer yourself, do you get nervous about showing your work to the other members of iFanboy? Are you worried about Ron or Conner ripping you a new one on your future comics work, or is that something you're not concerned with?
Keep these articles a'comin'!
Brian "Michael" Bendis.
No?
On the topic of good Hawkeye moments, don't forget The Ultimates, especially volume 2! I realize the person who sent in the email is more than likely thinking of the regular MU version of the character, but the Ultimate version's not too shabby either. Well, at least Millar and Hitch's version of Ultimate Hawkeye (you could probably skip Loeb's, though the art's pretty sweet!).
It's funny, until I read Josh's comment, I didn't really think about how few good Hawkeye stories there actully are. I guess Bendis is taking care of that now! Oh, and I would recommend Avengers: Dissassembled. It's the beginning of Bendis' run on the Avengers franchise, and there were quite a few things seeded in that story that pay off down the road. There were a lot of people angry with that story, but if you picked it up now, you could see where he was going with it. Also, I liked Hawkeye's character moments in House of M. Very touching.
For the new year, I've decided to cut back on comics I don't actually enjoy but still buy out of habit, and put that money towards indy books. There are tons and tons of excellent books out there no one ever hears about, so it's time to do some research myself. Luckily, the video podcasts are a big help in this aspect.
Also, I've decided to wait on picking up miniseries. I'll wait for the reviews, and if they're any good, I'll either grab them in trade or find the back issues discounted online. That's what I plan on doing with "Magneto: Testament" and "Sub-Mariner: The Depths".
Next, I'm going to try to focus more on following creators vs. following characters. Sometimes a crappy creative team can destroy your enthusiasm about your favorite characters. So instead of complaining about it, I'll just drop it and move on in the hopes of a new team coming along.
Lastly: To check out more online comics. I'm looking at you Zuda...
Happy New Year, everyone!
I noticed the solicits have some of the the information wrong. Matt Fraction writes this issue by himself, and Andy MacDonald is on art chores, not Howard Chaykin. In fact, there's an interveiw with Andy (along with some sweet preview images) here:
