October 1, 2012 8:44 pm Well put, Tommy!
September 20, 2012 8:43 pm This book was loads of fun, except for the Rob Liefeld Hawk & Dove garbage. The only saving grace to that H&D story is that he didn't terrorize us with any of his horrifying illustrations.
September 20, 2012 1:42 pm I bought all the DCnU #1s last year, and I wanted to have all the #0s, as well. So while I have not read any Deathstroke in the past year, I bought this book for the completist in me. I have to say, all the talk I've heard about Rob Liefeld is absolutely true. This book is an insult to comic book lovers everywhere. I was wondering at what point was Ashton Kutcher going to leap out from behind my sofa and inform me that I've been Punk'd. The art is junior high school quality. All of the characters were either born deformed, or they're contortionists. And the story was so dreadful, leaping from plot point to plot point with almost no transition what so ever. I actually went back a page at some points thinking there were pages that had stuck together, and I had missed something. And I suspect Liefeld got his next door neighbor's 4-year old son to write the dialog. Rob Liefeld needs an intervention. I'd be happy to do it myself, but I'm too busy vomiting.
September 7, 2012 9:22 pm I got hooked on WATXM because of the art. Nick Bradshaw is fantastic. But when he teams up with inker Walden Wong, the books just pop!
September 7, 2012 9:06 pm This was the 0 issue I was most anxious for. How underwhelming.
August 23, 2012 2:52 pm Great review! This is one of those books I originally bought just to try all the New 52 books, and it has become one of my favorites as well! And your right, the ending to this issue was a great surprise and twist!
July 9, 2012 3:56 pm One of my favorites parts in this was the mysterious Bane-like muscled beast traveling around delivering birthday cakes to people, telling them to make a wish right before he kills them. Good, creepy stuff!
July 9, 2012 3:54 pm S:EO was okay up until the point he had to do battle with an alien circus clown...
July 9, 2012 3:49 pm The origin story to Scott's Green Lantern was kick ass. I couldn't help but think of Moses and the Burning Bush. LOL! However, as I suspected, he is now going to devote his life as GL in memory of Sam. That's touching, but it still stinks. I just don't see the point of going to the trouble of making a character gay if that character is gay in name only. Perhaps it will be explored in future issues. I certainly hope so. I'd love to see Alan Scott coming home after a hard day of crime fighting and sitting down to discuss the day's business with a partner.
