This is the most Vertigo-y title released by Vertigo in a while – very small seeds planted in early issues…

May 2, 2012 12:05 pm You don't need to have seen either, but seeing Thor might help your appreciation of Avengers. Definitely not essential though.
May 2, 2012 9:52 am Aw maaaaan, there wasn't a post credits scene when I saw it on Thursday (I saw it again last night but didn't stick around until the very end.) I looked up what it was though, sounds pretty fun. Maybe I'll catch it on the blu-ray.
May 2, 2012 4:12 am I'm not sure how much difference the director will make to the financial success of a film like this - I'm guessing a majority of people who go see aren't doing so because it's Whedon (not would the masses flock for any one director in particular.) Whedon (and the fact that it's a good movie) may help for repeated viewings, obviously pushing box office figures, but do the general public care who's behind the camera? Of course, it helps that most of the promotional material (trailers etc) have been exciting, driving people to see it, and a certain amount of that is down to Whedon, but on the whole I'm assuming people are going for the big superhero film, regardless of who made it. Of course, I could be wrong, and any evidence for/against this would be interesting!
May 1, 2012 1:02 pm And that someone is "anyone who has seen Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor or Avengers."
April 30, 2012 12:09 pm I like Iron Man 2 more than most, but I don't think anyone will blame you...
April 30, 2012 11:44 am Number 6: Coulson uses what Pepper first thinks is a 'lockpick' to access an area of Stark Industries (Iron Man 1) (I see you reference this in number 3, but it's an awesome moment in itself.) Number 7: Coulson manages to threaten Stark while babysitting him (I can't remember his exact wording, but it's awesome.) (Iron Man 2) Pretty sure there's room for another top 5 of these just in Avengers! Gosh I love Son of Coul.
April 30, 2012 9:45 am Where do you guys stand RE: Respect for women?
April 27, 2012 4:52 pm I didn't realize I was singing it silently in my head until I scrolled to this comment.
April 27, 2012 8:24 am I'm very interested in seeing people's reactions to his 616 introduction after they see the film (which, as you say, is amazing.)
April 23, 2012 12:16 pm I didn't see there were 2D showings before! Thanks for pointing it out, I'll be going to that one now...! I'll be the one geeking out with excitement (yes, the only one, I'm sure.)
