Name: Lyle Probert

Bio: From a young age i was always intrested in superheros. My first experience with them was the films ,my favourites being the Superman films with Christopher Reeve and the Xmen films.Over the years i had picked up a few issues of Marvel comics but i hadnt really tried to follow a serries until 2011 when i bought all the Avengers titles apart from Academy and a few of Marvel Masterworks Avengers Volumes. However i started to get bored with them as Bendis's writing dosent appeal to me.Then the New 52 came along and i though that it would be a good starting point for me to get into DC.I endedup picking up 16 comics including: Action Comics, Justice league, Aquaman, All the Green Lantern titles(Except Red Lanterns), Swamp Thing and Batman Now i can only purchase 10 comics a week due to a price increase but im still having a lot of fun reading the ones that made the top 10(my favourites being Aquaman,Green Lantern,Action comics and Green Lantern Corps).

April 12, 2013 11:36 am I may well be in the minority here, but am I the only person who thought that Batman's first arc(except for 6) is the weakest of all of Snyder's run?
April 12, 2013 4:54 am Whenever people mention the best books coming out from Dc right now, it amazes me that nobody ever mentions Aquaman, hell even justice league has seen a massive improvement in the last few months.

August 6, 2012 6:09 pm I can sympathise with you,as i also live in England(Norfolk,go wymondham high) and i am one of 2 people i know who is remotely interested in comics although lots of the people in my school love the new marvel films. At my LCS their friendly enough but theres no way i could have a conversation with them as i dont go there very often. I know what your talking about when it comes to the divides as my friend is starting to get into more alternative books such as chew whilst i like more mainstream comics.I first got into comics with the new 52 and since then the only website i have found with a good community is ifanboy. Also an example of negativity for the sake of negativty is my frinds and the new batman films. One friend loves them and says they are his favourite movies but i think a big part of this is so that he fis in,whilst another friend trashes the movies simply to impress me and to be "different" without looking at the good and bad aspects of the film and judging it off that.
