November 18, 2011 9:43 am Just wanted to tell you that this was a great write up Paul. Thanks! I'm still not all that big of a fan of Capullo but I absolutely love what Snyder is doing. I guess I just wish Capullo could make people look different from each other. Just because two guys are the same age doesn't mean they have to have the exact same bone structure. It wasn't that big of a problem in this issue though since we only had a couple shots of Bruce next to Lincoln. I can't decide if this story has less or more impact because of the reboot. On one hand I think the fact that Bruce hasn't been Batman for all that long kind of makes the Court of Owls less shocking. They haven't been eluding Batman for so many years after all. On the other hand the story makes more since in the reboot. If it was the old DCU and this Court of Owls had been laying in wait for 20 some years to take out batman that would seem kind of silly. With the n new DCU he hasn't been around as long and maybe only now is he a big enough problem for the Court to do something about him. Either way this story has me wanting the next issue big time. Can't wait. Snyder is blowing this out of the water and I can't wait to read the next installment.

November 9, 2011 1:17 pm This doesn't take into account any digital sales does it? I would really like to see how that is going. It feels kind of weird to know that my vote isn't being counted in these charts since I only buy digital now.

November 3, 2011 1:04 am Are you reading Swamp Thing? I only ask because I read this weeks issue before reading this and I think it helped a whole lot. Swamp Thing really explained The Rot and made this book even better. I think these two books should be read together. They complement each other perfectly.

October 27, 2011 9:50 pm @Crucio Nolan North is already in the game as The Penguin believe it or not. Oh and is also credited as voicing random thugs in the game as well. I love Nolan North though so that is fine by me.

October 20, 2011 9:02 am I love Scott Snyders writing as much as the next guy but I might be the only one who doesn't like the Capullo/Glapion art. I'm just not digging the style. I don't like the overly boxy chins. Bruce and Lincoln March have pretty much the exact same face. Nightwing looked really silly. In every panel he had some oddball facial expression. The art slightly reminds me of Batman TAS, but the story is much more grownup feeling so it doesn't mesh well in my opinion. Oh and the new bad guys costume just looked silly. I think it could look cool in a different art style though.

October 18, 2011 12:33 pm I didn't plan on leaving a comment but I feel I have to at least say I'm looking forward to this. I really enjoyed the new life that each character had in the first issue. I felt like they were fun and full of potential. Batman stealing the ring from Hal was great! I just needed to show that some people really are looking forward to this and that not everyone is jumping on the too cool for school hate wagon. Hipsters gonna hip.

October 7, 2011 12:03 am Well I'm out. This book is trash and out of touch. This should feel hip and techy but it feels like the writer hates tech. Hell he put a line in there saying that gamers spend all day shooting people in games so of course they would videotape murders and put them online... Really? When's this guy leaving the book?

October 6, 2011 9:34 am "I did what to the moon?" hahaha. The book really entertained me. I thought it was better then the first issue. I have a feeling as we get to better know each character that this book will become more enjoyable.
