Cantseeme

Name: Lawrence Zepeda

Bio: I'm a student, and a comic fan when I can find the time. I may not make it to the store every Wednesday, but that doesn't mean I don't get that feeling Wednesday morning, like nothing in the world can bring me down because it's comic book day. I enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, street level, and mystery comics.

May 26, 2012 1:37 am If Saga and Prophet are any indication of the creativity and hard work put into creator-owned comics then I will pull them until they end. I am very glad to have gotten into creator owned books at a time like this. I will be pulling Planetoid and Debris. That Glory TPB looks very tempting! Is there any news of Danger Club?
May 23, 2012 1:34 am The art gets a 5, Yildiray Cinar is amazing, loved his work on the LoSH last year. Story is a 4 right now, better than the 2 it was with Simone.
May 21, 2012 10:00 pm I am two issues behind on this and hope I can get them read before Wednesday. I might be dropping JiM after this arc due to budget reasons. New Mutants is nowhere near the chopping block right now though. Good for DnA and Gillen for giving us this nice little Asgardian pie.
May 21, 2012 9:59 pm I could do without the long form Invictus story, unless it gives us more Larfleeze insight. 12 issues seems like a very long time to set that up and knock it down. It's a good thing we get a bit of Corps trouble now rather than later or I would be dropping this book. Blue Lantern action, count me in!
May 21, 2012 9:57 pm Ronnie and Jason went their separate ways after the falling out over the stadium attack. Ronnie is captured and interrogated by rogue Firestorms, but saved later by Pohzar. He loses a hand during all the nuclear energy absorption. Jason takes a job for Zither to find Hurricane and Firehawk. He witnesses them trying to stop unsanctioned Firestorms and they can't stop a suicide bomb on the the Eiffel Tower. Cut to Ronnie disintegrating a bad guy during the battle earlier. Pohzar asks him if he wants to make them all feel that feeling more often. Jason inner monologues about them both being in way over their heads. He sees or hears a faint glimmer of either Ronnie or Prof. Stein, I'm not sure who it is really.
May 15, 2012 11:54 pm Excluding books like The Flash, Wonder Woman, Punisher, Thunderbolts, Saga, Uncanny X-Force, Prophet, Winter Soldier, and Near Death, then yes he should draw all of the REST of the comics.
May 15, 2012 1:29 am Damn Flash! Keep the Savage Six the hell away from Betty! I like her more than I have ever liked Mary Jane. If they kill her, I swear....
May 15, 2012 1:13 am I also was a new reader starting with 163 but I am sticking with it because I also read New Avengers and Osborn's goon's at the Raft sound like a good time. More Luke Cage and Songbird, yes please!
May 15, 2012 1:09 am I, as a new reader of the Legion, greatly appreciate some fresh, young, and uninitiated recruits in this book because it helps me understand what it means to the veterans to be a Legionnaire.
May 15, 2012 1:07 am Blue Beetle needs all the readers he can get! Tony Bedard has a better handle on Blue Beetle than he does the Green Lantern team book. He is really spinning Jamie into a well adjusted and likeable hero. He is a teen and with that comes teen problems, but they are handled well and realistically instead of unbelievably ham-fisted. I would go back and read issues 7 and 8 to get a feel for the book at it's current stage. It's a very solid super-hero book with splashes of sci- fi.
