May 7, 2012 9:00 pm It's still questionable if Death of Superman is still the same story. No Superboy, Eradicator and no idea where Steel went after the 1st arc. As for Hal as Parallax, it's still vague as seen in issue 1 of New Guardians. It's probably been condensed. Green Arrow/ Green Lantern is out the window. To answer the first question: Blackest Night is still in continuity because it sells well and in the recent past. The exact events will be massaged to fit the Lantern side of the story.
May 7, 2012 8:55 pm I think he had a hard time with the first Talon because he tried to fight it as a regular man. Batman holds back when fighting non- metas. Now he knows better. He's going all out.
May 4, 2012 5:47 pm I don't think DC or Marvel sees having $3 or $4 digital as losing sales. When DC drops their prices by a dollar after a month they still sell less books than a day-and-date book. Even the 99 cent dgital books are not getting bought as much as the full price books. Just check comixology's site and they'll show you the highest selling. Until that changes, DC and Marvel will take the risk of selling at the higher price.
May 1, 2012 9:18 pm You don't need to suspend disbelief to know that all of Bruce's books and cameos are not happening all at the same time. With this crossover, he won't be appearing in every book since it's all happening at around the same time. He won't be in Dark Knight (that will feature Red Robin and a Talon). He won't be in Batman and Robin (that'll feature Damien). He will have an appearance in Detective (however the main focus will be Jeremiah Arkham). Any of his appearances in other books won't be happening that night either. I'd understand if you're a comic newbie, but if you're a regular reader of shared universes you should be used to this.
April 30, 2012 8:23 pm Yep.
April 30, 2012 6:27 pm There won't be a mass decapitation at the end. The Big 3 will fade into the background because of the events of "5 years ago" (Issue 1). Issue 2 should pick up 5 years later, with Mr. Terrific landing there and the new crop of heroes stepping up (Jay Garrick, Alan Scott, Al Pratt). I believe that James Robinson said the 1st arc will be 5 issues. There won't be a team right away. They will meet new (altogther new and revised) heroes in each issue.
April 23, 2012 2:18 pm Or maybe there were 6 worse books than it. It got a reprieve but it probably won't survive the second cut.
April 21, 2012 2:15 pm Don't know if those guys would want to be under new52 restrictions. They probably have more freedom of story on TV. Wonder if they even get paid more than DC's mid-list writers.
April 13, 2012 1:49 pm The AVX Infinite is only available on Marvel's Comics App. That's not synched with comixology so DC can't use it. They can come up with something similar themselves but can't just steal it.
