December 20, 2011 5:57 pm That's not the prison from Batman Begins. And isn't Alfred with him? The beard means nothing, the gray hairs mean everything. I'm guessing he goes to find himself after his defeat from Bane. Maybe retrain or something.
December 13, 2011 11:50 am This looks like it will be a good time. And they appear to have gotten rid of Snake Eyes' plastic lips! Huzzah!
December 2, 2011 3:25 pm The Australian Outback years are my all-time favourite X-Men years, but really I love everything from the Paul Smith era through JRJR, Silvestri and until Lee got his own X-Men book. If anyone is looking for Paul Smith's run on X-Men in trade, while it isn't in colour, Essential X-Men Vol. 4 collects his entire run.
November 28, 2011 2:30 pm Daredevil for sure, maybe TMNT as well. Does anyone know if the new BPRD trade "Being Human" is uncollected stuff or is it from previous BPRD and Hellboy collections? Bonus Question: Watched "Super 8" on VOD this weekend. It was enjoyable, definitely captured that Spielberg 80's movie feel. But damn, what was with those lense flares? Once in a while is okay and kind of cool, but there were flares on-screen sometimes when there was absolutely no light source on screen!
November 17, 2011 5:49 pm @NextChamp - go find the early interviews Aaron did when he was announced as the writer and when he just started, he's says he had one big story to tell and then he was done, a la his run on Ghost Rider. Whether he meant to go to #25 or really wanted it to end with #22, who knows, but he's telling the ending he wants. Frankly I was expecting an end knowing this was one big story with either the arc after "Frank", which is what's happening, or maybe an arc after that. We were never going to see Punisher MAX #50 by Aaron.
November 17, 2011 5:46 pm Yeah I'm not too sure why everyone's up in arms, Aaron has said from the beginning this was a finite run. And who's to say there won't be a new Punisher MAX #1 in a couple of months? I'm not too sure what the numbers were, but if it sold okay, there will be.
November 16, 2011 6:29 pm Aaron always said he had a planned ending and it would be a finite run a la his Ghost Rider one. I assume because it ends at #22 that maybe it was cut short, but at the same time I've been thinking it would end either after the arc after "Frank" or the one after that, so I assume if it was cut short, it wasn't by too much. Still, very scary times at Marvel right now as they really are becoming just about the big selling titles and screw everything else, they'll just ship the selling titles twice as much to make up for it. Ah diversity, how I miss you.
November 15, 2011 11:59 am I think the first trade is 6 issues, so I would guess that's the first "arc"? I'm curious to see if he continues telling the story in this vein or if it changes at some point to be more Punisher POV. I find this story is very deconstructed and stretched out a bit longer than it needs to be.
November 14, 2011 5:31 pm Josh tweeted a little while ago that when he bought the first trade of Death in the Family, it was $3.99. I remember that being my first trade too, second printing I believe. Man oh man, inflation sucks.
October 25, 2011 4:04 pm Can't wait. Is this Slade's next film or is he doing Daredevil first? Here's hoping Development Hell doesn't rear its ugly head.
