Brick

Name: brian rickard

Bio: I was first introduced to the world of comics in the mid-90s through the X-Men and Spider-Man cartoon series. I was about 10 or 11 at the time. I collected sports cards, so I was already training for unhealthy collecting. The comics store in my town closed pretty early in to my expedition in to comics, so that pretty much ended my short lived love affair with comics. When the Sin City movie came out I was once again intrigued by the world of comics. I picked up a trade of Sin City, and I realized that yes these are for adults and me. I then started to pick-up trades every now and again. Usually something like Wolverine Essentials. When iFanboy started doing a video podcast on Revision3 I watched even though I was still pretty casual with comics, but the more I watched the more trades I bought. Then I started to listen to the audio podcast, and now I am buying issues weekly.

July 15, 2008 2:37 am I just finished the trades that encompass caps death, and I think they left off at #36. I really wish I had the issues in between 36 and this one, but I think i can fill in the blanks thanks to the interwebs.
July 15, 2008 2:21 am Just because something in well known or well marketed doesn't mean it isn't good. I've spent a substantial amount of time in Europe, and at the time I wasn't heavy into comics. So, I don't know what the state of comics in Europe are, but I do know in 2005 you could get most well recepted American comics such as Sin City. With that said I do have a liking for European media and sensablities, so I think it has the potential for me to like it from the marketing describtion. Basically I like the "trailer" as it where.
