Bio: I'm a writer/performance artist living in Chicago, I've listened to ifanboy for about 4 years now. Long time. I've loved comics since I was a little kid, after dressing up like Superman thanks to the cape my mom made me and jumping off of everything I could find, and receiving a stack of Batman comics from the 70's via a friend of the family. I'm currently catching up with the Abnett/Lanning cosmic stuff, along with other Marvel cosmics from the 70's as well as Kirby's 4th World Saga. Oh and I just started watching the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. I'm now seeking a way to mainline it into my veins.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Casts Catwoman & Bane

January 20, 2011 11:37 am I'm very sad. I've loved Hugo Strange since I was a little kid and read the "Prey" storyline in LOTDK. And if you've seen Tom Hardy in "Bronson" you can see how amazing he'd be as Strange, he looks exactly like him. But I doubt that the studios are forcing Nolan to do anything he doesn't want (ala Raimi & Venom) so I'm sure he's got a great story in it.

Top 5: Superhero Supporting Characters

January 19, 2011 12:29 pm Why would someone as cool and classy (High Society butler, ex-spy, Batman's confidante and medic) as Alfred have a Homer Simpson like comb-over? Couldn't Bruce have come up with some kind of Batoupee along with the shark repellent bat spray?

January 19, 2011 12:24 pm I feel sort of habitual in reading it, like I'm going to the gym because I know it might wield results but only walking really slowly on the treadmill.
@minion: where did the confrontation between Boomerang & Tim Drake take place? I'd completely forgotten that he killed his father.

Top 5: Awesome Things About Jack Kirby’s Jimmy Olsen Comics

January 11, 2011 11:39 am I picked up the 1st volume of the Kirby Omibus, it's insane in all the right ways. And Superman is sort of like John Wayne, mixed with my step dad trying to figure out how to work the dvd player.
