October 26, 2009 7:38 pm @Slockhart It's stupid to blame Millar. From what I've read, he seems to write all his scripts months or in some cases, years before they begin being illustrated. He just happens to do a lot of work with artists not exactly reknown for keeping to regular schedules (Hitch, Harris, McNiven).

@magnum240 When I first saw it, I fucking LOATHED it. It just struck me as a gigantic copy of Wesley Gibson, but now I'm used to it. Either that, or my will's been eroded and I'm just "accepting" it.

What happened that Millar couldn't finish the script? Hitchy I can understand but why Millar? I don't think I've ever seen him not turn in a book on time.

The cover actually reminded me a lot of Scott McDaniel. Especially since the face looked so skinny.

I read the Black Flowers Mike Carey trade of Hellblaizer and if that's the level of quality his run stays at I'll never pick up a trade of his again. The stories werre boring and not incredibly original. He did however have 2 other fantastic artist on the book as well as Marcelo Frusin(who is good, just not mind0blowing). Jock did great art on a fairly standard chase through london one shot (that had story telling issues that as times had me confused as fuck. Nothing to do with Jock's art, but the way Carey wrote it). TThen Bermejelo did FANTASTIC art on a slightly more fun but mediocre story involving people posessed by ancient scots. Buy it for the art but nothing else
