January 3, 2011 11:09 pm Got it. I guess I can see that.
January 3, 2011 2:31 pm Any insight into his being a "modern master"?  It's hard for me to tell from, for instance, the panels above what was his innovative contribution.  (I'm in now way trying to be jerk here.  I'm honestly uninformed and curious.)
November 16, 2010 12:46 pm Thanks for saving me the work in reviewing Superman: Earth One on my own.  You absolutely nailed it.  The only thing you didn't mention that I might have was the trade dress.  C'mon, DC!  You give the writer/artist team way more space than you do for the title, but their names can't be seen unless you turn the book?  What's the point?  When I saw the size of the title font, I asked my wife, "What do you think the name of this book is?"  Her response: "Earth One."  I love love love me a good Supes story, but this was, as Mike put it so well, totally unnecessary.
August 10, 2010 10:35 am Who did the artwork on this cover?  It's amazing!
June 30, 2010 9:28 pm That Jock pinup, indeed.
June 18, 2010 6:36 pm How long has James Jean been off of "Fables" covers? This looks fantastic!
June 18, 2010 1:07 pm Making the transition to all online ordering right now has got me feeling similar anxiety. Luckily, I can still travel to my LCS (also Dark Tower -- hi, Tom!), so I'll be there every Wednesday until they start shipping from the August Previews. Sorry to rub it in...
June 14, 2010 2:44 pm My first comic ever, probably at age 10, definitely off of a spinner rack at a corner liquor store. Thought it was so cool to buy a #1, then proceeded to spill Kool-Aid all over it.

How about this one that I commissioned Matt Kindt to do for my wedding?  It looks 'amazingly' (ugh) like us, and made a great wedding present.  Click below to check it out.
