March 11, 2010 11:48 pm Thing is, I bet they sold a lot of non-discounted books too. I bought a bunch of Marvel Omnibus hardcovers, all of which were removed from the order, but I also bought all the Love and Rockets 200+ page softcovers which were selling for around ten bucks (still are) and the Swamp Thing hardcovers (around $16). They canceled the ones they made mistakes on, but obviously not the rest. Bet I'm not alone. And I'm actually pretty psyched to be getting the ones I paid the real price for.

July 1, 2009 5:09 pm I'm not so bummed. I thought this was a good book, but I enjoyed Fraction's one-shots more. Hopefully he gets the book. Is he writing X-Men or something right now? They should take him off that if he is. They're a waste of his talent.
June 9, 2009 5:07 pm Don't I own this comic already? I know I own at least one Flash comic where they race, possibly two.
May 7, 2009 11:33 pm This book was great. I wonder how these two writers would do if they took on the more mainstream parts of the Marvel U. I suspect they'd be awesome, but at the same time, I don't want them to leave. The cosmic books and Captain Britain and some other books on the fringe are just so good right now.
April 21, 2009 5:19 pm @ohcaroline You mean "Bad Ed."
April 2, 2009 1:29 pm I can't get over the feeling that I would maybe actually enjoy Mighty Avengers if someone else was drawing it.
March 19, 2009 1:25 am @conor Thanks! You too, @drakedangerz. I'm flying again tomorrow, but I'm in the East Bay a lot, and need a good lcs to hit on Wednesdays.

Dang. I'm traveling and the comic book store I found out here in Oakland didn't have this. Gotta get back to New York soon.

Meanwhile, I never read the older GI Joe series, but this one is really fantastic so far. If I wanted to read some of the good GI Joe series from the past, I guess I should find trades of the Marvel series? Anyone have any advice on that?

January 30, 2009 9:13 am Wow, I can't believe people thought this was boring. I *loved* this issue. Maybe it wasn't packed with fights, but it was, I thought, beautifully written. I do agree that the last arc wasn't amazing. But, reading this issue, I feel like we're getting another short arc that will be satisfying on its own, and will also be the next piece in the larger story of Bucky. When a writer can do that successfully, well, that's why I read comics.
