June 22, 2020 1:38 pm In the context of this book (New Gods collected edition by Jack Kirby) the artwork falls off after page 289. It's noticably less detailed. It's still very good, but it's not prime Kirby, hence it "got worse." If you have this collection you can actually see it. It's not a knock on Kirby nor the work, it's just a thing that's noticable.
April 29, 2020 6:21 pm Comics starting and stopping kills me. I'm not smart enough to remember 30 different stories week to week not to mention if some take a year or two (or ten) off. I also don't have the time to go back and read them all to catch up. Super frustrating. I might start buying in trades only going forward post plague. Speaking of, I just finished all of Y the Last Man for the first time today. Ooof got me right in the heart. Actually cried. Thanks, guys for all you do. You make Mondays something to look forward to :)
April 22, 2020 5:09 pm My god the worms of death noise is horrifying.
April 19, 2020 11:30 am Great song this week, guys! One of my all-time favorite bands. Got to see them once in concert. The whining sounds are made by playing a saw. The more you know. Do you guys have a l helpful link to purchase DayTripper? Thanks, AKeith04
February 2, 2020 12:45 pm RE: First audience email question. The double page spread was in Superman #19, not Action Comics.
April 21, 2019 4:44 pm Well done Josh. If it gives you any sense of confirmation about your pick I had a similar feeling about Middlewest. I almost dropped it although it is beautiful. I didn't see it going anywhere or meaning anything much. I'm glad I stick with h it because this issue turned it around for me. I'm a child of divorce and my dad got custody of me an my brother when I was 3 and he was 6 (over share). I always thought that he was really angry all the time, but later in life I realized he was just a kid who happened to be put in a position of having kids on his own. He was doing the best he could. I kind of relate to the kid in this story. I escaped into my imagination a lot. I was a tornado of my own a lot of the time too. This story turned into something really touching for me. Anyways... I'm with you on the pick and well done going it alone this week.
December 10, 2018 12:56 pm I don't know why I didn't like Martian Manhunter #1. I think the scenes on Mars were very jarring to me because I had no idea what was going on. The only other Martian Manhunter stories I've read were the recent creepy one with a slender hat-wearing villain (cant remember the name) and the New Frontier story by Darwyne... so I don't have much context with J'ohn J'onzz. I didn't really LOVE DeathBed which was my last experience with Rossmo so maybe that left a bad taste for me. Green Lantern (who I also have little familiarity with) has been great so far! Like Josh I am not a huge fan of writing phonetically. I could barely understand the volcano-head character although i appreciate the creativity. As for Doomsday Clock, it looks great and sounds... about right, I just have no idea what it is supposed to be. Maybe I need to re-read it all again so I can follow it. I'm lost. Great show guys and thanks for all that you do! This show brings joy to my life every single week. I genuinely appreciate it.
October 15, 2018 9:18 am Wasn't it Amazing Spider-Man #7 that just came out this week? Also, what happened to the Kraven reveal in issue #5 (I think?) ? I feel like I'm going crazy. Kraven appeared and then nothing ever came of it. Did I miss an issue?
June 26, 2018 7:10 pm Get well. Get well soon. We want you to get well!
June 25, 2018 7:28 pm That episode seemed so gloomy to me. Is everyone ok? I mean apart from the constant Conor sickness? Lol. Cheer up, guys! It's comics!
